Saudi is not the entire ME Region, places like Oman and UAE are very liberal. Bikini beaches and alcohol... Even things such as homosexuality, illegal in Sharia are just ignored rather than persecuted and prosecuted. They might not have advertised gay bars but people know which ones they are.
