Yes I read that article, and decided I didn't really give a shit.

I want to give a shit, and we do need to cut plastic use dramatically, but I can’t worry about plastics in water and food because the damage is already done.

Plastic Plastic Everywhere - and we ain't got any choice but to drink it (and it turns out, breathe it in).

Global disgrace. It's so ubiquitous that it's difficult to feel anger - because we've already been defeated.
Since the study has not been through the usual process of peer review and publication in a scientific journal
Until it's peer reviewed and published this study might as well be written by 7th-graders on a cocktail napkin.

You always go on and on about research has to be done properly before it's useful and yet you post this? I'm not saying it's wrong, but right now that study is not worth the pixels it's projected on.

Also if plastic particles in plastic bottles scares you, don't go in to any civilized city/town/settlement and take a breath of "fresh" air - the number of particles you breath in might alarm you!

Of course all we are doing is introducing a new food supply into the system.
Microbes will evolve to consume it and bang goes plastic.
They ll eat all the pipes in the ground, gas pipes, sewer, water, boats, cars, phones.
Its going to be hilarious.

Don't know what's getting your knickers in such a twist Lakih. It's pretty simple to test for the presence of plastics - in the air as well as in drinking water.

Apparently the WHO is taking a it a bit more seriously. But like I said, too late...

It doesn't surprise me, as I've posted on that subject many times - but it fucking pisses me off that we live in an actual trash heap of a planet - and we've done it to ourselves.

It sounds like they were doing a stress test on that bridge in Miami ("They were trying to see what the bridge would handle, by dropping a load on it," said Congressman Carlos Curbelo), while there was traffic passing beneath it. I think I'd want to close the road before doing something which might cause the 950 ton bridge to fail...

Yeah had nothing to do with liverpool. But people read into it what they wanted.
Oh get fucked. It's clear and obvious.

It's got "96" written on it, it's got "karma" written on it and it's got "what goes around comes around" on it. It's a fucking replica red and white shirt.

Explain those things together cogently in any other context. I don't buy the Bob Marley bullshit, otherwise it'd have been rainbow coloured.

You think a major chain would go out and try to make money off the disaster at a football ground?

You read too much into it.

No - I think that they've a deal with lots of suppliers and aren't aware of exactly what they're selling - who's got time to check and review all their shit? you farm that out to suppliers. One of their suppliers is obviously a tiny twat who's let this slip - Topman has probably cancelled their contract (or at least will have given them a very stern talking to about standards).

It's one of these things that slip through the net because of the way retail works. I.E. Don't pay for due diligence because you want to pump things out of the door cheaply.

As for:
You read too much into it.
No I don't. It's fucking clear. You're either blind or lying to yourself if you don't think that the design was deliberate. Some chavvy, probably young, probably male designer put this awful thing through, it didn't get picked up by QC and a major chain started selling it. But the guy who made the shirt? He knew exactly what he was doing.

Tbh I'm sick to fucking death of hearing about Hillsborough.
As am I tbh. But t-shirts like this, made by idiots, shows that people near to it are still getting a kicking about it. When you've lost friends and family and people still give you shit years later then it's not a great thing.

I think it was a Marley shirt, no one along the chain seemed to see the coincidence.
The size of the 96 us a bit suspicious, can only guess they tried to make it look like a football shirt without connecting the dots.

Of course you do. Your posting history on the subject makes that quite predictable...
