Over the last few weeks I have been thinking I am going slightly mad. Every now and again late at night I can hear this ever so quiet beeping noise, so quiet I wasn't sure I could hear it at all. I just haven't been able to figure it out.

Just managed to track it down to my watch, a G-shock I bought at the same time as starting to hear the beeping...turns out that for some reason the alarm starts going off at midnight, I must have set it while initially setting the time on it or something. I just hand't put two and two together until now.

Not worn a watch in about 10 years before this so a watch alarm wasn't really anything I thought about.

We finally made it to France to watch my rugby team. Haven't been for 6 months so we tried to see 2 games. We were in Paris for the Sunday afternoon game against Munster. Now unless you live in a sealed chamber you must know what happened. After the year I have had i am beginning to think I am a jynx.

Go on. Try answering seriously, considering you felt strongly enough about it to poo-poo @old.Osy's post. I'm genuinely interested in a brexiter's opinion.
I voted brexit and i think if your here on a permenant basis via eu or visa then you can stay. But new entrants should be done on a basis of need like aussie do. Weighting need in sectors to points towards a visa to work.

Even the neo nazis at the Express voted by a huge majority to allow foreigners working and living in the UK to be able to stay.
There is practically no support to send them home in the general public.

I googled "steam cod" earlier and was momentarily surprised when I didn't see recipes on how to cook fish. I'm getting old :(.

I don't think anyone should be kicked out of anywhere as a result of Brexit, but then immigration wasn't really one of my concerns in the whole referendum shenanigans. However I can see why this was voted down - it's not a reflection of govt policy in the slightest, more the govt's negotiating position before we push the button. In the same way the EU have made no guarantees about UK citizens staying over there, we have made no guarantees about EU Citizens over here. Approving this motion from the SNP would have weakened our position, hence it getting voted down.

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of using people as bargaining chips, but we are where we are.
