I have been playing with ideas trying to improve onboard cameras in motorsport. Here's a very, very basic test I did today:

Can people see what I'm getting at without explaining it? The effect works best in fullscreen. Oh and the camera I used is a bit heavy for the mount, which explains the wobbling/knocking/vibrating.

I don't see it but you look well skinny chumlar. I retract my " Ginger Hulk" remark from last year :)

You're using a gyro mount(dunno if it is called that?) rather than a fixed mount? It makes sense tbh and gives a better understanding of where you're going and what the car is doing?

The camera is on a gimbal so always stays level with the horizon, no matter what it's fixed to. So the car may be at an angle of 25 degrees (for instance) but the camera is always at 90. That way, you see what the car is doing. So if you had a gimbal that could do full 360 rotation, if the car turned upside down during a crash, the camera wouldn't.

I guess for F1 it may work, but for Rally and stuff? - Would it not make the viewer feel a bit sick?

Divorce..... So sorry to hear that :(

Appreciate the thoughts, but this is one of those ones where it's very definitely a good thing and a positive development.

I can't wait until it's all over and done with tbh; I'm too old for this bullshit lol :)

I see that you appear to be trying to dull down in-car recording? So it looks like a boring, flat, straight road with a bit of jiggling car on the edges of the picture.

Stop wasting your time. The beauty of rally is that it is exciting...people don't want to see a Sunday drive.

I get the idea, I'm just not sure I want to see it. Is it better to see the action as experienced by the car, or by the driver? I think its the latter.

Fuck you America.

This guy is either one of the perfect example of a human being or he is amazing at deception

To come out of an illegal prison where you've been tortured and treated like an animal to hold 'sane' views OS incredible.

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if people entered Guantanamo innocently and left wanting to blow up America.

Looks like a flash knock out, just stunned him but as he did not defend the hammer fists the ref stopped it.

He's our new Mandela...very questionable background, being sold to us as some fucking messiah of truth who's been in the wilderness for decades, politicians getting roasted about him.
It's this kind of shit that feeds Trumpism.
People are fed up with being sold bullshit.

This kind of shit doesn't feed Trumpism in the slightest.

Stupidity and looking for an easy answer to problems feeds Trumpism, which results in Trump giving bullshit responses back, so really, if your theory is correct, the supporters of Trump are massive hypocrites.

If anything, they have no idea who this guy is.

@Job are you saying that its OK for the Americans to lock people up indefinitely without charge because they might be terrorists?

Brave bastard, I normally stop my singing in the car when I see someone overtaking me slowly.

PS nice choice of music on that video!
