We were there last night 'meatballs for the people'

I had lamb-meatballs pickled cucumber, lingon, bacon and there was mashed potatoes and gravy. The portion was ample. Both Kris and I left feeling really full.... It wasn't. nouvelle cuisine in the slightest and was very yummy! We will go back.

The lingon and bacon with mashed potatoes and gravy were really nice indeed. I could have had a double portion though. Drawback of being a big eater. Don't you think the music were a bit loud though?

Pah, we all know that Sweden is just a vast IKEA, only accessible by Volvo, with 24x7 Abba Muzak in the background. Don't pretend there's anything else, we don't believe you

Excellent.

I found a football wedged under my brothers car on Saturday evening, I got it out and left it in front of my house, noone picked it up, so I took it to my neighbour and offered it to them - it was a Nike ball, gold dust in my youth, and the dad was like no, throw it away (it was fucking fine) so I gave it to a Polish family at the end of their street since they were outside the house they were like 'yeah sure why not'.

Now the first family I offered it to has a 4 year old in the garden just saying 'I want football I want football' WTF now hes singing hbd to himself

now men are scared to acknowledge young girls.

Acknowledge? Don't see the problem there.

Stick your face in their face and make sexually suggestive remarks? Raging paedo.

There's a massive gulf between the two.

There's a difference between acknowledging a girl and whatever the fuck is going on in that video...

these used that clip in a program about historical abuse to explain how the culture of affection between generations was very different then, now men are scared to acknowledge young girls.

Aye, there was a interesting reply from someone. Basically said paedos are our new witch hunt, in the 60s it was communists in the 80s it was Indians etc etc

Noone did more than call him a dirty old man because it wasn't the done thing to do at the time.

Makes you wonder what the future holds - will sex education suddenly be seen as sexualising youths at a young age and those who advocated it get executed?

OK, so they're the archetypal annoying hipster wankers, but are the owners of the Cereal Cafe the main thing that's wrong with the gentrification of East London? Seems like a rather peculiar target to me, or was it just an easy one?

Just your usual benefits claimants that think they are intellectual because they did a year at Uni/College (delete as appropriate) before it got too hard for them.
Hope they were arrested for criminal damage, I'm guessing not though.

I remember when it first opened and there was uproar about it being really stupidly priced in an area which was quite poor.

I wonder if these people going smashing up places which require you to wear shoes.

Edit - Wasn't it these guys where they were interviewed about what I just said and were asked what about the locals? and they responded with 'Don't care'?

And there lies the problem...no one had a problem with it at the time, he was merely showing affection towards children in a way that was perfectly acceptable then, but creepy now, just as many things change.
This was a mainstream program that continued airing, because back then closeness to a young child didn't have the witch hunt pedo obsession attached to it like now.

You're telling me that if that was your 11 year old daughter and some nasty old pervert was flirting with her like that you'd be fine with it?

LOL, you keep using modern sensibilities to judge something which is entirely innocent, he is simply flirting in a childish way with the kids, who seem very at ease with it.

People keep going on about how it's a poor area, but rich and poor have lived cheek by jowl in that area for decades; A City boy friend of mine had a trendy flat right off Brick Lane in the late 90s and there was tons of money floating around that part of town; it's a five minute walk from a dozen merchant banks ffs, what do people expect?

my employer keeps an office on the London Wall. the shops there sell things like "vitamin water" and "fresh juice" in itty-bitty bottles, as well as frankly stupidly priced food. nobody seems to complain about the workers in my corner paying 7 squids for a sammich
