...and observing their rules.
FYI you DON'T need to carry a breathalyser kit in your car when driving through France. They say that you do but there is no fine or penalty in place if you don't have one (it's a law that sort-of half got passed and then is just sat there not being enforced). You should have a warning triangle and a hi-vis vest though.

So I now have nearly two arseholes. Spent yesterday and last night in hospital and had a nice big abscess drained. Dodged every complication bullet though, no channels leading from it and no colon damage. All blood tests came back clear for any other nasties.

Nurses, wonderful people, the NHS the most unorganised shambles I have ever seen, seemed to be 2-3 clipboard holders per nurse.

Didn't know that was a thing. Might get one anyway tho, just for the interest. None of us will be getting so wankered before our driving days that we'd require it tho...

Probably, I was nill by mouth yesterday and nearly had to fight off the half wit dinner lady because some walking clipboard decided to move me to a different bed and forgot to write it on my new board. And by different bed I mean two beds over. My nurse couldn't find me then because they had closed the curtains. She couldn't understand why I had been moved either.

But had a stunning nurse stick her fingers up my arse this morning so not all bad, I didn't have the nerve to say I usually expect a kiss first.

Actually, watching that GIF, maybe Antonio Banderas read that post and remembered he stuck his fingers up someone's ass that day, so leaned back for a sniff.

My Landlord just said to my house mate that he can stay in the house for 3 months over summer for nothing, so long as he works.

He also got into a debate with me and my housemate about Ska music.

My step dad was knocked of his scooter by a hit and run driver a couple of weeks ago.

His foot was shattered and amputation was considered. But in the end the hospital discharged him without operating and cast it all up. The plan was to let it try to heal partially on its own first.

He was doing ok at home with my mum. In pain but generally ok and back to his jolly self.

Then he died on Friday night.

Mum said he complained about feeling "funny" and when she realised he was understating it... She called an ambulance. They tried for an hour to save him. But he died.

Autopsy reported heart failure likely due to a DVT.

A 24 hour drive to spain and I am now at mums. (Couldn't get a fuckin flight to arrive in time for funeral)

Today I had to hold my mum in my arms as she sobbed uncontrollably.

It broke my heart.

Not sure why I felt the need to post all this I guess I just needed to vent some emotion.
