had the weirdest experience today, driving up and down a dual carriageway with the wife in my van, bikes in the back looking for a path to some bike trails, I see an astra cop car go the other way with flashing lights, I notice he u turns like a fucking looney and comes back down our side, I pull into a layby to look at the satnav expecting him to barrel past, but he pulls along side and jumps out as I'm getting the bikes out.
He looks at me strangely and talks into his radio, 'this is it silver plumbing van'
Then goes to the wife 'are you allright madam?'
She's like 'er yeah'
So then he says there's a report from the public that a woman in this van was being assaulted.
He quickly realises it's a mistake and calls on the radio to stand down the back up!
Take's my details just in case, and I'm like we have only driven off the motorway to this carriageway, driven up it twice without stopping...who the fuck reported this and how.
He confirmed the name on my van so no mistake.
Seriously weird.

Don't watch it myself - don't plug an aerial into my telly. But when I do come across it in other people's houses I usually think it debates the issues in a more adult and in depth way than the comic-for-retards that is the Beeb, or any of the ITV shite...

C4 is head and shoulders better than itv. On a par with bbc 2 I would say. Bit a bit more alternative.

Yeah except it clearly does otherwise why would people move here for work? There is stacks of work and a massive hole that is filled by foreign workers because natives refuse to do the jobs because they seem to be under the impression they are above it. If you are dumb as a stack of bricks you aren't going to get 30k and a car, it does not and cannot work like that. Its not just a problem at the lower end of the market either, thats why we have so many foreign doctors, nurses, IT people etc.

...and scouse chooses to ignore the "if capable" bit, any society should look after those incapable but last time I check bone idleness isn't a disability. And in argument to the unwilling, why should I work so that someone else can watch Jeremy kyle and play xbox all day? When has any society functioned with leaches?

I welcome anyone who wants to come here and contribute to society but I just wish we could ship out our lazy.

From what I've heard of the program in question, it was bordering on propaganda, even non Ukip people found it shocking. Interesting that the film maker has been implicated in a massive tax evasion case as well, not sure how that fits with the right on lot at Channel 4, but hey.

Problem I find with Channel 4 is the news tends to be more along the lines of "here's what to think" rather than just presenting the facts, but sadly most news outlets are going that way these days, even the Beeb. It may have won awards, but then so has Sam Smith for his music, and thats mostly garbage ripped off from Tom Petty.
