I have an iPad air 2 but I wouldn't consider myself a lemming when I decided to go with Apple tablets way back in the past the sammy Galaxy tab was what I wanted. But in the time frame I had I only had one choice because it wasn't released yet. Since then I have upgraded every two or three gens as I have investment in the apps etc on it.

I would probably got to sammy still. But I have the investment in apps etc I don't want to lose. And each upgrade I look at the competition and decide if there is anything to make me want to change and lose that. And so far their isn't.

nah, the lemmings i'm talking about are the ones who queue up outside of an apple store for like a week before the product even comes out, and throw money at apple like its going out of fashion that is sadly why apple is so successful, not because they're some amazing godlike company.

Fantastic marketing machine Apple have to make that kind of fan base.

But now there are many more better phones out there. It is why I have a htc phone for my personal mobile. Rather than an iPhone.

I know, I keep wondering what the appeal is with apple phones given android phones are generally better/offer more freedom... I can only chalk it down to the actual Apple symbol, which is rather sad.

I have a iPad air 1st gen, and I use it all the time for surfing and streaming music around the house. I have an iPhone 5 too and the 2 link together which is why I went for the iPad, I also have their iTunes match so I don't have to store and music on the devices (over 100gb) it works for me and I don't get involved in the whole fanboi discussions, as I couldn't give a toss what other people think.

My brother has just got the new Sammy tab S with the 10" screen, he was talking about a Nexus (see thread in tech) but he went for the Sammy as he has a S5, probably for the same reason I stuck with the Apple stuff.

My phone is up for renewal in June and I have been looking at the Z3 small one (whatever its called) but I may stick with the iPhone as im not that precious on what people may think of me based on my phone choice, I don't use hardly and apps, I use it for, and get this.......making calls (yes you can do that) taking pics, email and music

Sometimes it's not hipsters, sometimes it's just people that aren't tech savvy and would rather have a simplistic piece of hardware that they're used to.

Then there's the people that aren't tech savvy that queue up for hours on end to get one, to pretend to be cool and have the latest piece of hardware, because they have the money to flash, and they need an iPhone for their image.

Then there's the apple fags who have to have apple products everywhere.

On a related note, there's a series on atm about a 'exclusion' school in London where ALL their equipment is Apple, I was like, dah fuq?

It doesn't actually matter if I'd behave the same way if I was Greek; a German has been paying for their shit and they want their money back.

I'd argue that's only half the story. Creditors are as much to blame.

Either way, lack of taxation isn't the thing that's plunged europe into this problem - it was corrupt governmental borrowing and spending without bothering to balance the books. You can't hold individuals responsible for that (deliberate) systemic problem.

I managed to help a company save nearly 2 million dollars in yearly support fees from my previous company I worked for.

Had a horrible flashback of paying for stuff and watching adverts.

Up at 3am doing disaster recovery. NeverFail is a nice little tool when it works. Only took us 24 hours to re-sync one of our SQL servers though. Had a lovely 'LAL OUT OF SYNC' moment yesterday, so nice delay.

Had a lol moment testing one of our workflow apps, ran it in console mode and it threw errors. Problem is.. Never ran console mode live, so no idea if that's normal.

That can wait till Friday to fix though!

I've written 5k so far over a week or two, this is emotionally draining, especially all the referencing.

probably about 80 references from 30 different books in the process

I fucking hate referencing, my last one was about the Dalai Lama and I already knew much of what went on and who he is. I find it much harder to write an assignment on something I already know about because you have to find references to back up your statements.
