Hmmh, birmingham is larger then i thought. Though i think that's the case with most british cities(to foreigners), people just think of little cute towns and such.

Could be that in most TV/film you don't see british cities as concrete towers etc, even when looking at london.

With only ~3% of the UK population being muslim and only ~7% of asian or british asian descent I don't think the UK has much to worry about when it comes to islamification for a while yet

Also, its not really race its language and social issues.

My wife works at a school in a shitty part of town and she has all sorts of problems with parents who don't speak English and kids that start school not understanding a word. She had one guy yelling at her once because he would not discuss his kids with a women.

I do think more needs to be done to naturalise people that come here, I am all for a diverse society but I draw the line when they absolutely refuse to fit in. What they can and can't do, the language. If they don't want to live by a countries law and customs then you have to wonder why they are here...why they would want to be here.
