/pedantic on

Fumble recovery or pick up is the correct terminology I believe. Interception is from a QB throw.

/pedantic off ;)
Except you're wrong! If the fumble doesn't hit the ground it is indeed an interception ;)

Ahh, I see that now. GIFs always lag if I don't open them in a new tab which I didn't. My bad, sorry

Size of the Andromeda galaxy in the sky if it wasn't so dim

I love the night sky, I was playing around with some astro stuff in the blackness of Skirtland and photographed Andromeda. Even with the aperture wide open and the ISO cranked up, Andromeda is so faint against the bright glow of our own galaxy (that whisp of orange was a passing cloud which wasn't visible to the naked eye) - the red ellipse highlights the area.

Even in the blackness of the Highlands, you can still pickup the orange glow of imperceptible light pollution with a long enough exposure.

If only it could be seen like that at night,it would change everybody's perception of where they were in the universe.

Picked up Battlefield 4 for the PS4 today.

Absolutely glued to it, FPS graphics have come a long way even on the consoles. Very playable as well, so the gameplay matches the effort in the graphics - think you can hide in a building from a tank? Nope! I'm impressed with the destructible walls and cover, it adds a whole new strategy to the gameplay. I was camping out in a little office when the tank blew the entire wall down which then led to the whole thing collapsing on top of me.

It's really put a nail in the coffin of my CS:S days as that feels massively antiquated and woefully simple in comparison.

It's a good job you didn't play BF3 then.

BF4 in reality is BF3.1, they're gonna start milking it, like CoD.

Yeah the only BF game I've played was BF 1942 on the PC, and that was a long time ago.

Yup, they're cheeky fucks frankly, they brought back classic maps from Bf2 which was good, but on bf4 they released bf3 maps that were average as a dlc.

You could'nt make it up..our useless local post office which never have anything in stock..like no envelopes and once no stamps at all...anyway they've had the front repainted...now opening at 8.30 instead of nine and have a huge banner saying that tax disc are now available...I don't even want to go in and say it..(tax discs are being abolished in the UK in October)

Well hypocrisy is a central part of politics...they should have a minister overseeing it.
