I tried running my other account on my pIII 733 with a voodoo 3 card on it, these are the results:

That's about what I had when I first started playing DAoC: a P3-700 and a Voodoo3. I learned pretty quickly to attack mobs facing AWAY from Mag Mell, otherwise the lag was too much to deal with.

After about a week of playing, I invested in an Athlon 1800+ and a GeForce3.

3dfx cards suck at direct3d, saw the same thing when I had my voodoo 3 on much older games than daoc.... The textures dissapearing issue.

Think its because it cant use too big textures or someting. cant remember...

Get a better gfx card, even a geforce 2 MX would do the trick =)

works ok for me, just get 0.01fps when i enter avalon, or look at a tree

I am running SI on a p3 450mhz with gf4 ti (a bit overkill with such a gfx card on a p3 ), its a bit laggy but I have adapted to the lag now.

you must have some serious driver issues m8 hehe
ive got si running on my 2nd pc which only has a tnt2 M64 on it! it runs and not much different from my monster pc once its toned down a bit, of course the water aint as good etc.. and its a bit jerky but all the textures are correct.

I had shitty looking mooses on my P3 450 and V3 3000 card, nothing at all you can do about it but upgrade.

It works on TNT2 cuz that card can handle Direct3D... OpenGL looked good in the good old Quake-days...
