Soo, im making a set group, and im wondering.. what classes should fit in the group. Maybe something like this:

Sorcerer
Cleric
Cleric
Minstrel
Cabby
Merc
Merc
Armsman

Cabby for disease/interupts n body debuff, and armsman for warguard and the new fotm stuff they got, or should i change it for a paladin with end regen? Or should i change the minstrel for a friar ?
Comments..

You should really get a pala for endu and celerity when you're running a tank grp. Switch him for one of the mercs maybe. Minstrel for friar also not a bad idea, then pala could be warlord spec.

I could change one of the spots for a sight necro with 25 % bonus and 250 af debuff

Sorcerer
Cleric
Cleric
Friar/paladin
Merc
Armsman
Cabalist
Necromancer/Reaver

Thats probably the final setup, might change the friar for a paladin later, as for now, friar get a group 25% endurance buff.

getting your reists up as a whole on the group is a MUST! i have to agree with arethir there pally assist bot when we get celerity and

Sorcerer - Mind
Cleric - Rejuve
Cleric - Enhance
Minstrel - Needs to have good dex in temp for interupts if not stick in a friar for BG bot
Cabby - tri spec rocks
Merc - MA
Merc/Reaver! - Reaver is good interup on BGed casters!
Paladin - Assist munkie make him 2h spec and you are good to go!

Anyways, there will be a few spots left in this group.

We currently need anyone to play a reaver and a 2h armsman. So gimme a pm if you want in.

I play a polearm Armsman, which IMO is superior to a 2-h'er, give me a PM if you are interested.

don't need a paladin for end when you get friar with grp end redux buff, its so fooking nice i dont even have to use end regen pots and still im fine for end.

proper tank group would be:

cleric
cleric
sorc
caba
friar
merc
merc
heretic

can swap heretic for arms or reaver, and swap theurg for caba to make up for the loss in interrupts. or maybe a mincer and keep the caba.

Surely it'd be nice to keep the Paladin for Celerity though as well as End? Drop the Heretic in your suggested group and have a Friar as BG and backup heals and have the Paladin in the train.

celerity is only useful on 2handers and those can get a celerity weapon if they want it so bad. on mercs it makes a very small difference.

as i said, with the friar end redux buff, you will never go ooe even when permasprinting and styling by just using end regen pots. and when the pala is cc'd or dead, the pots don't drop. nor can you go out of range.

heretic is insanely good for both tank and magegroups, anyone who disagrees has no clue about the potential of the class. that said, slam is ofcourse very useful too - id prolly get one merc to spec 42 shield but its a bit of a hassle.

Yeah, a shame none of the chief tacticians of the set groups out there realized that yet :(

But then there is a lack of good tics as well. I only know 3 :( And no I won't mention names! :p

Reaver is a must, if rr5. And the abs debuff chant. Caba is a must for body debuff / aoe disease etc.

Maybe back in the OF days.. and even 1 wasent enuf.. icewizzys are only good in groups, when you can get a box situation.. which a fairly active group, almost never encounters, unless you do a lot of keep/tower humping.. so imo having an icewizzy in setup, is a waste of group utility. atleast compared to some of the hib/mid groups running around.

well, we play with 2cleric 2caba 2sorc friar heretic and so far its really fun. maybe i should release a short teaser of heretic footage, 5-10 minutes or something - just so show the power of a tic. :p

no way in hell an arms will make up for the loss of end redux buff and elemental resists, ever. either a pala or friar is a must in a group, and imo a friar is and will be >>> pala even after the end boost/celerity patch.

I agree but what type of heretic do you think would fit best?
Because if you get 42 shield you will lack either enh (wouldn't recommand that as spec AF doesn't cover the cloth armour) or you would lack some rej.
Can't find any spec that can cover it all like 50 enh is a must so if you combine that with 42 shield you can either go 39 rej (no monster rez) with some decent AoE interrupt or go some weapon + rest rej or full weapon and no rej which means you will have no AoE interrupt.

Also if you got 0 weapon spec (going for support/interrupt) with rej and shield that will probably affect your choice of ML also because BL ain't that great for a caster tic who's main job is to interrupt.
If only Tic's got a little more spec points like Wardens got then you could make a spec that would have slam, good interrupts, decent weapon (atleast enough for the anytime stun) and max enh :(

36 rej, 43 enhance, 50 flex, 13 shield in fg. :p

Hmm, kinda weird spec no offence because I am sure you know what you are doing but why not (for instance):
50 Flex, 50 Enh, 10 rej, 27 shield.

Would give you the same AoE interrupt in Rej, better absorb, same Weapon skill/styles, more shield and would make you (cept for your d/q) unshearable.
Unless of course theres some reason you went 36 Rej but because Heretics don't get a spec heal and with 50 rej the biggest heal heals for just over 300 with 36 rej it would have quite some variance and a bit pointless to heal with a Heretic anyway and with 36 rej you don't have a monster rez so..

Can understand everything from that spec cept for the 36 Rej unless that is to save you a few points in MoF for the AoE snare but tbh that's losing quite some utility to save a few RA points.

i don't go 36 rej for healing, its for the first ui pulse. ;) and the yellow s/c caps, so im unshearable either way except for dq.
