I would love it though, for America to build a new skyline, like in Gig G's pic.

I understand. When Diana died, half the people in the country went into "mourning". How sad they were that Diana had died. The news was dominated by it for ages. At the funeral, over a million people lined the streets. The question is, why? People die every single day, why should this paticular death get everyone so worked up. I didn't know Diana, i never met her, i never thought much of her when she was alive, i really didn't care too much that she'd died. I actually find it quite sick that people made such a deal of it. The media hyped her death, so people felt like they should feel sad, which they did. Crying because you've been told you should do, is really quite sick if you ask me.Originally posted by Xtro 2.0
I don't know why people have mentioned the death of Princess Di in this thread. Not very comparable IMHFO.

As good as this is, and it shows the world that they are not put off by terrorists, you cant help but fear that it'll become a target![]()

Innocent people should not be made to suffer, by anyone.
This may trigger people to say that America has caused innocent suffering by exploitation elsewhere, but that's not the point right now. Why should 3,000 innocent civilians die because of the actions of a few greedy corporate suits, or because an insane religious fanatic thinks they should?

Of course WW2 was all about religion.![]()

To an extent it was, war was only declared when Hitler went marching into Poland to find some more Jews to slaughter.
but even that is pretty arguable![]()

Germany invaded Poland because Poland was an easy target, and part of Germany's plans to dominate Europe. We declared war because of our treaty obligations, not because of religious ties.

Yes, saddam did need to be removed, but the way they did it was completely wrong, they lied to the international scene then conducted what was most likely an illegal war, but it's alright cos it was America who did it.

Hitler wreaking mayhem and more on Jews, Gypsies (sp?) and other persons had bloody FA to do with religion. Unless you're going to count Nazim as a religion, which you can in a twisted way tbh -like Socialism.

On a side note: I'd like to know where Irak's WMDs are. Weren't they supposed to have lots of them? Wasn't that the reason the war was on? Surely it didn't have anything to do with money and oil?

Yes, but there was also that religious motivation that Hitler wanted to exterminate the Jews. Is that not religiously motivated?
