You fucking cunts. Stop making me fish for this thread.

Okay, perhaps not as good as I would have liked. I just don't have the patience waiting for them to move somewhere better. More on my blog - http://andrwb.wordpress.com/2011/10/24/richmond-park/

This one was a throw-away one but I don't know what happened. I slid some sliders in Lightroom and this happened! I had to add three stops to the exposure, but the noise on the road just sort of looks like... road.

That's a roadish road if ever I have seen one. Where do you go for big grr stags?

I hope I'm heading into the mountains this week, it's all getting a bit lovely and autumnal in the foothills.

Richmond Park.

I spent my birthday walking around in mud. Like a mug. At least I got cake.

Richmond park is lovely, so big too, so much wildlife, and an awesome cream tea :)

Aye, Richmond Park is awesome. Need to go there with my stuff for a few days (it's bloody huge). There's some great photo books of the place, it holds mist really well in the mornings.

I might try catching some deer in the morning mist this week.

I did have this where I was trying to get some sort of... I don't even know. I just could not be arsed waiting for something to happen.

Does anyone know where the 'photos of your nerd shit' type thread went? I'm sure there used to be one when I was a lad.

Did you get any of the church/cathedral behind them? I really want to visit one of the large cathedrals and do some shots there.

awesome pic of that cafe btw Clown. did you do that by hand or with some kind of stabilizer mono-pole or tripod or something? given it's somewhat dark and all, the interior lighting doesn't seem enough to get you a decent shutter speed?

Thanks. It was hand held with a kit lens which has IS on it. Not that I need it. I'm steady as a rock.

I don't really look at shutter speed or ISO too much. I chose what is right for the exposure. Motion blur and grain doesn't bother me. If anything it can sometimes add to a shot, I think.

yeah I feel the same way. or I did, I should say, back when I took srs pics of things. luckily I had a teacher who taught us zone system and all the paper rules as to what makes a perfect shot, and then told us to get out there and burn through as much film as we could :)

I never listened to teachers. Not really had a photography teacher either! What stopped you taking 'srs pics of things'?

hehe the point was that he explained theory, and knew full well that theory alone does not a perfect shot make. my all time favourite shot that I ever did make is mostly full on black, with just a tiny spot illuminating a person's face. that's stomping all over Ansel Adams' teachings, but hey, I liked it and didn't give a shit :)

what stopped me was getting kicked out of photography school for doing too much drugs, not having any money and working as a photographer in a Zoo. that job stopped me wanting to take pictures of anything, and instilled in me a deep and burning desire to kill people in new and amusing ways. also I had sold my own camera so I could buy beer. ah, to be a student once more :)

If you got kicked out for doing too many drugs then you probably weren't doing enough drugs to be considered an artist, especially in Ho-land. :D
