Yup, that wasn't a total disappointment. Nasri's goal aside the french didn't really trouble us for all the possession they had. Great game from Parker and Milner (yeah yeah but he was good). Would like to see a little bit more composure from the Ox but that will come with age. We did look awfully narrow at the back on some occasions though and I'd be worried against a team with good width.

Was Young playing?

Don't like him in the hole at all, much better on left wing. Think Milner is better in the middle as well, where his work rate is very handy.

Watched it on French TV at CERN. They have Arsene Wenger commentating. I don't really understand what he is saying but I just imagine him saying he didn't see any of the incidents. He didn't comment on the fat man sleeping though. The other commentator seems to love shouting RRRRRRRRRRRRibery every time he had the ball.

Pleasantly surprised by England performance. Played as a team and defended well. It did feel like the England players first touch always let them down, either that or they were hammering the ball at each other when passing. Feel we have a chance to make it out of the group.

I don't know what people thought was wrong with the referee. He rarely stopped play and I would much much rather a few fouls go unpunished leading to a much more flowing game than the game getting stopped every time somebody slips over.

Yep i agree. Just finished watching, good team performance, thought wellbeck and ox offered good outlets, parker did a great job. Cole gone done over a bit too often though, and the referee must have been from marseille he was shit. Goodpoint and pleasantly pleasing performance. Nice to see them actually keeping possession, passig t round and not trying to force it.

Ibra is a beast, quite worried about the game on Friday, think we'll be more confident going into it than today, and will make mistakes.

I think Theo would of been a better option in the middle than Young it was not Youngs best position. The Ox had a solid game for his age and stage of his development.

Ibra looks up for it, looks class on the ball, hoping Sheva gets a goal tbh.

Not sure if Sweden have 12 players on the pitch or if the +1 is Ibra's nose :cautious:

Ballack is a pundit for ESPN. About as much charisma as the chair he's sitting in.
