Most ppl play from 6 - 10 pm so even if greedy fucker farms it once then that makes it harder/impossible for someone else to get it. I dont need any favours and you can do wtf you like as long as it doesnt break CoC ... but other ppl do need a favour .. ppl who dont play as much as you. i have been playing this game for a good 2+ years, and even if you play for lets say a couple hours each day, you could easily get a LOT more than 3 level 50s (one of whom leveled at the same time as the other) and i done spellcrafting whilst working away on coursework or reading. not exactly a huge drain on time. neither is it a perticularly attention-required activity.

i think youll find that most people dont have the 'just fuck em' attitude, i certainly dont, i (and i suspect most others) just subcribe to a wider range of methods of aquiring the items theyd like

another point about casual gaming... what do you class as a casual gamer? personaly i play for a couple hours every night. if you class the casual gamer as someone who plays for 20 mins a night, why do you think they dont have many/any artifacts? it takes time to get these things (again, my point of spending the time to do something).

this is boring me .. noone has any facts here .. an arguemnt is based on opinions .. if there was facts there would be no arguement. My opinion is that the casual gamer (my version of the casual gamer) has it hard in this game. Hard in the fact that it is hard for him/her to enjoy themselves .. they cant compete in RvR .. they havent got the time to do all there mls and artifacts are hard for them to get. For me this is bad for the game because imo ToA was a very bad move by mythic. What I dont want to see is daoc dying and everyone leaving for another more enjoyable game .. so imo I think people should make it as easy as possible for members of our own realm to do well and part of this imo is to leave artifact encounters alone unless you need the artifact for youself. Thats al I have to say about it really... but tbh seeing the attitude of other people makes me think whats the point so i really dont give a shit anymore and Im not posting on this topic anymore because there is nothing else useful to be said

actually, most of my arguments are simply just contradicting the points that you have tried to make. artifacts are easy to get if you know what your doing and put the time in and are capable of killing the mob if need be. this is a fact. as it has been proven in practise.

you saying that casual gamers have it hard in this game in terms of artifacts is not a fact, it is an assumtion based on your opinion. people make the game as hard as they want directly by the amount of time they spend in it. so if mr joe bloggs who plays 20 mins a week, we should try and accommodate his 20 mins by leaving an artifact encounter up for him? whereas the artifact may benefit someone who actually plays a more active role in the economy? hell, if the artifact is farmed enough, itll be on a consignment merchant whenever joe bloggs wants it, and he doesnt have to spend more than 20 mins getting it either! wheres the problem there?
