The ending being "Everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother."

There's a lot of speculation as to whether or not Winston really loved Big Brother, or whether he had beat the system as it were. Or there was in my head when I finished it.

What i thinks fucked up is that they can make hover ships and electricity guns and laZ0rs and stuff in Zion yet they can't make a god damn stereo for the crazy whacked out dance scene.

They had a stereo didn't they? I assumed it was kicking in after the drums.

Did anyone else notice the complete lack of reflection in the sunglasses? In the corridor scene with Agent Smith(s) at the end, you couldn't see Morpheus and Neo in his sunglasses despite the fact they were stood directly in front of him, all you could see was empty space.

This was a theme followed in the first film, in the agent training program, you couldn't see a true reflection in the sunglasses. Ditto the red/blue pill scene.

Mind you, there is a shot in the first film, of the doorknob when they enter the Oracle's apartment, where you can see the camera in the reflection.

Also, in the 2nd film, I noticed that the driver of the car that does that neat 360 can be seen wearing a crash helmet. Most disappointing, but hell its still a very good film.

Maybe because you would have seen cameras & they couldn't be arsed to make 'proper reflections' on the glasses?

Or maybe the 3d rendering engine in matrix 3.0d can't make reflections on a curved surface? Something to look forward to: graphics engines that can cope with curved reflections in realtime? errr wtf am I on about?

Anyway really enjoyed the film, best watch this year. Less believable than #1 somehow, but more enjoyable.

The whole 'ouside the matrix thing', couldn't help thinking 'naa it wouldn't be like that'. Humans as batteries, that's a no - where would you get the biomass to feed them - if they fed off the dead, there must be a frozen world covered with dead bodies to feed them off, in ever decreasing supply? Dead bodies a fossil fuel? No. Anyway even with no sun you could still mine fossil fuels & uranium etc for almost limitless electricity!

Ships that hover by some sort of what looked like static electricity & octopus looking things that just 'float'? No.

A zion of the future with mechanical stuff powering it underground? No.

I had to suspend disbelief many times in relaoaded. Only the bits IN the matrix were believable because anything is possible in the virtual world, if you have the ability to belive it. :D

I could only walk out tinking 'how many levels does the matrix have?'. So, you battle many bosses, then meet the 'observer/controller' wtf wheres the final boss in this game? Should be a real badass! Maybe seraph is the final boss, but doesn't think neo is good enough for a decent fight yet?

Has anyone else read a book called 'The paradox men', where a guy enter a simulation of an entire world like his own, only to find that it is the same as his own world, eventually breaks out of his own level to find exactly the same world outside his own virtual world?

:bore:

Actually, no, Grolsch and fags and a good film.

Do you see how I cleverly maneuvered us back on-topic there :D

Incidentally I have pre-ordered Matrix Reloaded on DVD. I won it randomly from game for playing on the servers! Cheers bigfoot :D
