So this morning Corbachev has been on the Andrew Marr show and suggested:

- We keep the Trident submarines so we can keep the workforce, but don't put any warheads in them.
- We reach an agreement with Argentina over the Falklands. You know, the Falklands which recently overwhelmingly voted to remain part of the UK?
- ISIS may have some good points, so we should open dialogue with them. O....K....

I can see all 3 of those being popular with the electorate!
The guy is a spanner, he has no idea how to lead a party and is just a laughing stock.

Turns out I misheard slightly, apparently ISIS may have some strong points, not good points. I'm guessing they include executions running on time, good news for chain and shackle manufacturers and cheap skydiving holidays for the LGBT community (parachutes nit included).

The more bollocks he comes out with the more I think he is some sort of plant by the Tories.

That's a hella long game though, he's been a monumental twat for decades.

Long may it continue. the votes of a couple of hundred thousand students and loonie lefties are not going to win labour an election in 2020. The country will remain in safe hands.

It does make me laugh as well when they point to the size of the Labour member ship to show what a huge mandate he has.

Labour membership currently ~ 380,000
Labour Membership under Blair ~ 400,000

Difference is Blair actually appealed to voters as well......

So the long awaited report on Labours catastrophic election loss , has decided it was everyone's fault but theirs.
They blame the Tories for being to good, the SNP, pollsters and the public for believing Tory myths.
Seems their candidate was perfect, their policies were spot on and they.had won the war of words on the doorsteps.
Labour review largely absolves Ed Miliband and his policies as blame for election defeat is sent elsewhere

That's a pretty bad PR move, just blame the guy and his shit policies who's fucked off!

No, let's further destroy labour.

Who actually gives a fuck about Labour anymore?
Think I have only voted once in my lifetime for those wankers, never ever again whilst I still have a heartbeat. Stupidly I thought they cannot be worse than the Tories, how fucking wrong I was when they got in power.

Bunch of twats who need to go the way of the dodo.

Just another example of pandering to muslim anti female culture, rather than rock the boat by confronting the Muslim men for this, they just turned a blind eye, which says everything about how they would deal with immigration if they got in power.

So, they have started making lists already.

Jeremy Corbyn distances himself from 'hostile' MPs list - BBC News

It's been a terrible week for the Tories and the weak as fuck opposition have done absolutely nothing about it. I actually think having such a shit shower in opposition is just as damaging as having Tories doing whatever the fuck they like.

Way Tories are going no one will vote them in again even if Donald Duck was opposing them.

I think the Tories will win the next one easily, with even less people voting.

Labour are just completely unelectable, they don't even seem to stand for anything any more.

Are you sure those percentages aren't actually voting numbers.

It's a voting intention based on a sample size for the Scottish elections this year, but it's a sign of the times.

Well that shows how stupid people are then, as week after week we see the Tories screw something else up or try to screw someone, with very little signs of improvement for a large % of the country.

Well they got voted into power at Westminster with a majority, so what does that say about the UK?

So the idiot who posted a tweet saying he had asked a muslim woman in the street about Brussels who said it had nothing to do with her...he called her reply mealymouthed.
He's been arrested no less for inciting racial hatred.
You just couldn't make up a better example of the poisoned atmosphere in relations with free speech and draconian racism laws.
No one saw this conversation, no one has complained, he didn't say anything remotely racist, merely stating he didn't like her personal reply, just more ammo for the chattering classes I guess.

Yeah, that is a case of retarded leftism and quite a sad state of affairs.

Donald Duck would probably be a massive improvement on the muppet they have in opposition currently. Which is why the Tories are in power, and probably will be for another good few years. You'd have to either be a mental patient or have a bedroom covered in Che Guvara posters to vote Labour at the moment, and the other parties are even less credible than that.

I'd disagree that most of the country aren't seeing benefits however. The recent changes in the income tax bands help everyone, and the work they've done with Education means that - despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth by our teacher friends - there is less and less point in sending kids to private school. Tax recipts are going up, the economy is still growing - lots of benefits to be seen if you can get over the fact it's the Tories doing it.

In fact I think that last line is your problem.

I'm sure there were loads of monumental cockups in deciding disability claims, but every single person I know who was on long term disability actually had fuck all wrong with them, that would stop them working.
My mate smashed his knee in 1996, been on invalidity since, he's been oddjobbing since 2001..fuk all wrong with it now, he jumped before they pushed and has a good job now.
MOST people on long term disability need a push to get out of the rut.
He makes specialist exhaust for bikes and cars, really good at it, now he's making big money again after wasting 15 years of his life on 80 quid a week.

I don't know, my tax-free allowance has gone up considerably over the last few years giving me more money in my pocket, and since I am in receipt of only one benefit (single person council tax discount), I haven't been touched by other changes they've made.

I didn't vote Conservative and am unlikely to, but they're doing exactly what the people who voted for them want them to do, which is pander to pensioners while reducing public expenditure and "coming down hard" on people those pensioners don't like. Most media outlets criticise them not because they think they're doing wrong, but because they want to sell stuff to the people who do think they're doing wrong.

Personally I am doing better since the Tories came in. The business I work for is also doing better. My friends are doing better. Everyone is happier. Winning.

I don't really come into contact with people who chose not to work so I don't really care if they are doing worse or not and I don't really have a problem with people claiming disability getting tested once in a while to make sure they are still unable to work. Unable to work = disability payments continue, being a lazy chancer = get a job.

Obviously we see some big ticket media cases where people with no arms or whatever get asked to be tested but overall I think it is doing the job.

Yup, that's pretty bad, not racist as such, but tweeting it makes you a knob.
