Sorry but I think this a giant pile of horseshit. The NHS is far from perfect but try healthcare elsewhere, there are maybe half a dozen countries in the world with better public healthcare than the NHS and they all have a much higher tax take than the UK, and France excepted, smaller populations.
I much rather the nhs than the american system. Or even the irish.

The staff within the NHS are great. Nothing for praise for the nurses that looked after me a month or so back. The surgeon I dealt with was good and the anaesthetist was also friendly and all explained what would happen, when and how.

However. The ward was low dependence, nobody with anything life threatening.16 beds yet they still had around the same amount of staff on the ward, if not more.

I am a bit of a people watcher when I am sat bored in the same place and I noticed there was a trolley that was "it" It seemed that they employed various people to move it from one place to another every 10 minutes or so. There was nothing on it. They also moved me from one bed to another, a couple of places along in the ward. That took 3 staff, despite the fact that I could just get up and walk over to the other bed myself, I am sure they just did it for something to do.

I also ended up with 3 different beds with 3 different groups of staff when I submitted myself. At one point they were trying to plug me into an ECG machine until I politely told them to stop wasting my time and theirs. I was in with an arse problem, not a heart attack.

The NHS is staffed by some extremely well skilled, polite and kind people but managed by absolute morons who just wouldn't make it in the private sector.

The NHS is the 5th largest employer in the world, only just behind McDonalds.
That's all you need to know about overstaffing and of course there are never enough front line staff because management recruitment outstripped nurses by 5 to 1....yes 5 to 1!

There are more than enough front line staff.

Only the problem is they are mismanaged.

The biggest problem for the NHS is the ongoing repairs of an ageing population...we will end up spending 2/3rds of the cash on people in their 80s.

In Job's defence, he is correct. An ageing and ever increasing population is a strain on the NHS.

Yes, it will have to happen, large scale immigration is their to get young people in to pay for your operation, pensions and heating allowances when you're old.
Inheritance tax was introduced to prevent the landed gentry's wealth spiralling out of control...this will start to creep back as the government raise the thresholds.

Most people have already paid more than enough into the system via tax and national insurance.

It's interesting, because surely she's shooting herself in the foot by saying LOL DEY WANT US?

Or are they saying that so when they do enter a coalition the SNP voters can't say 'what the fuck is this, you didn't tell us'

A bit a both perhaps. If they enter into a coalition, and they drift from their values, they'll be utterly finished and I expect Scotland would swing back to Labour. This could be there best and most critical chance for influence at Westminster.

In an idealistic world, they'd get into Westminster, and not have a great deal of input, and hopefully the SNP voters would then see how much the rest of the UK outside of London has to do with Governing.

Hopefully then we'd strive for decentralisation, as opposed to everyone trying to get complete independence.

Obviously that would mean that MPs would have to serve their constituents over towing the party line, which most likely won't happen.

That's why they won't enter a formal coalition but instead do an issue by issue vote.

No. Alex salmond is though

The the bitch should keep her ducking Jose out.

Clever of labour though to not draw attention to it. The thought of salmond standing next to milliband as deputy pm would give the Tories a landslide!

There's absolutely no indication from any of the polls that a Tory landslide would happen and in my opinion I don't think it would change much re the above. That should tell you something about the voting public, perhaps English Labour voters dislike Cameron / the Tories so much they'd prefer Millisalmond :p.

Nah, it's more like the reason why the Tories are getting more votes is because 'OMG SNP GONNA BE IN THE GOVERNMENT' some people are like 'OMG YEAH WAHH WE NEED TO VOTE TORY' Whereas others are like 'WAAH WHAT DOES THAT MEAN EXACTLY?' 'SNP WILL RULE THE UK'.

I thought the whole 'But the last labour government did this' was bad, but this is even fucking worse, it's pathetic and pedantic, it's not how to get into power on your own merits, it's how to tarnish your opposition to get into power.

It seems like the whole campaign is like that - fuck all substance. Mud slinging, character assassination and political rubbishing.
