True to a point, but the fact remains - when the power is there the handling of the car seems almost effortess, and that's the key. We already know that Renault (and Ferarri, to a lesser degree) need to improve performance, but that's way easier than having to change the fundamental car design.
Except for it's not as the Engines are supposed to be sealed for the year now. Unless they need to be changed on safety grounds or all the other teams agree. Don't forget that Red Bull are a marketing company. They don't exist to win races or anything like that, they exist for publicity. Now it's apparent that their season is entirely screwed, they will do what they need to to keep the name Red Bull in the spotlight, including cheating.
They were told repeatedly to slow the fuel flow even during the race. They chose not to because their car was on the telly, and their overalls would be on the podium. They knew what they were doing.
