Dear oh dear, I'm lost for words. It's evident how, or rather, why, you got into the whole scene

You obviously dont have a clue about my DJ'ing Perp, so I'm not going to flame you.
For your information I got into DJ'ing 7 years ago, never thought for a second that I would end up playing anywhere, and I will always buy vinyl because you cant do with CD's what I can do with a 12" record. I got into it because I was fascinated by what the other DJ's I saw could do and because of a love for all things musical. Simple as that.
However, when you DJ professionally (like me), you find that in order to raise your profile amongst your peers, you have to do something that nobody else does. Hence the "it makes you look cool" statement. And I stand by that statement.
Ever see the DMC DJ's? Do they look l33t or what?
In other words, you put me in a club with my vinyl and then stick a CD jock on after me, the chances are the crowd are going to relate to the guy jumping up and down, scratching and appearing to physically be part of the set he's playing than the guy who is just pushing buttons.
I'm not belittling CD jocks, like TUG sez, there aint much difference 80% of the time, but with CD's you dont get the same "hands on" effect and this is what the crowd relates to in my experience.
As for you TUG, I'm trawling the web and trying to see what I can find for yuz![]()
