I am happy with the score at the moment. No offence to any UTD fans, but I hope they get bodied by Spurs tonight. The way they are being run, they deserve nothing.

Indeed, as much as i dislike Spurs I detest Man Uniteshit.Result![]()
They were robbed but those are precisely the sort of dodgy decisions you want to keep in the game, aren't they? Had the ref not blown until the ball was in the net it would've gone to VAR and been overturned. So, yay for human mistakes, right?Villa robbed.
The pen will be used to gloss over it, but a goal would have changed the game.
VAR or no VAR it's still there isn't it. So what, exactly, is VAR doing here? They were robbed but those are precisely the sort of dodgy decisions you want to keep in the game, aren't they? But VAR couldn't intervene here so its existence is irrelevant. The ref fucked up, potentially costing Villa a Champions League place and £100m but hey ho, it was just like the good old days.VAR or no VAR it's still there isn't it. So what, exactly, is VAR doing here?
(Apart from stealing the immensely pleasurable and unique feature of football that is immediacy.)
Yes. I want to keep those things in the game. The game has been fucking brilliant with them. It's less so now. Much less so.
Fuck VAR, fuck it in the ass. It's very existence has made a bad decision worse - not just in the game, but the fact that on this forum we're now talking about V.A. fucking R, instead of Villa being robbed.
Good going VAR. We're still talking about you instead of the football.![]()
It's not irrelevant - we're talking about it, again. But VAR couldn't intervene here so its existence is irrelevant. The ref fucked up, potentially costing Villa a Champions League place and £100m but hey ho, it was just like the good old days.
Which is precisely what happened yesterday. You're determined to crowbar VAR into it but it was completely irrelevant because of the ref's mistake (which was to stop play before the ball was in the net).Refs make mistakes, just like everyone else.
Hold on a fucking minute. You brought it up!You're determined to crowbar VAR into it
...in passing, to say that it couldn't have been used to correct this situation... You then turned that into "BUT IT'S STILL THERE".Hold on a fucking minute. You brought it up!
Watched the match. First thing that everyone talked about. First thing that you talked about....in passing, to say that it couldn't have been used to correct this situation... You then turned that into "BUT IT'S STILL THERE".
The impression I get is that some asshat was trying to move through the crowds, beeping at them to get them out of the way. He may have hit someone or pissed someone off but apparently his car was attacked, then it looks like he panicked and drove through a load of people.
May be bullshit, but we'll see how it pans out.
Edit: It might be that the fucker should have given up on moving his car until the crowds dispersed. Beeping at people in packed streets is going to mark you out as a cunt. My gut feel on the limited information is was he was an entitled prick who got attacked. It's the same sort of entitlement that makes car drivers think they're the most important thing on the road and moan incessantly about other road users - pedestrians, cyclists, caravans etc. It just feels familiar. An extreme version, but...
