If Zidane had the balls he subs Ronaldo. He is clearly injured and a shadow of himself

Quality first touch from the best player in the world

Did Barca play yesterday? Didn't see any of Suarez touches. I think Ronaldo is ok with being second best in the world after Suarez but in the best team in the world :)

Pepe is such a fucking cheat, should be banned.

some of his histrionics last night were embarrassing. I'm surprised footballers still do it knowing how many cameras are recording it now, makes them look like right tools.

Wimbledon and MK Dons in the same league next season! I dearly hope Wimbledon finish above MK Dons.

Watching a documentary about Euro96; has there ever been a finer performance than the match against the Dutch? Definitely the best I've seen.

I loved Euro 96. We should have won that. I wasn't at the Holland game but I was at the Scotland and Spain games and its the only time I can really remember unequivocally enjoying watching England play without expecting them to fuck it up. Even the Munich 5-1 I sat down to watch thinking they were going to get battered.

Loved 96, was my first summer with a proper job and enough facial hair to not get asked for ID in town.

Fun fact. Leeds UTD have had 6 new managers since Jack Wheelchair last completed 90 minutes for Arsenal.

And yet he has still gone to the Euros to pick up another injury while people like Nobel did not even get a call up. No justice when you don't play for the right club.

Its always the same though, pick the badge not the player.

For the most part I think we have a decent squad this time around though, one or two fringe players should not be going and I am still not convinced by Rooney, depends on where he is used.

Agree really, why we're taking a player who has played about 2 hours competitive football in the last season just because of what he can potentially deliver when we could have taken someone much more defensively minded (Drinkwater) who has had a very impressive season, or Nolan is beyond me.

Barkley hasn't exactly set the world alight over the last 6 months.

Same with Henderson and Sturridge. both big injury risks

Rooney who has 11 qualifying goals. Cant really look past someone with proven international scoring imo

I don't think Nobel missed a game all season and his passing stats and assists show is a consistent decent player. If he was at a Big 4 (not top four lol) club he would be there over Henderson or Jack. It is how they say a no brainer when you don't work for the FA.

Good line up tonight, Rooney being played where he is best suited these days.
