Quite shocking just how bad we've started, it seems like in all areas we've gone backwards especially in defence where we've already let in 9 goals in 4 games compared to 32 for the entire season last year. It just seems so many of our players are playing bad or can't be bothered, I'm sure Jose will come up with another shit excuse designed to protect them rather than tell it how it is.

I watched Chelsea all pre season and I couldn't believe the pundits had them as favourites, they were losing because they've lost their intensity. Teams are not scared of them any more especially after Palace today, they could have scored 4 or 5 and there couldn't have been a complaint.

Race for the champions league could be real interesting.

I agree with you Ch3tan, Brenda hasn't got a clue, how long can Liverpool keep giving him millions of pounds for no real return on investment? He complained about having no creativity yet Markovic who they spent 25 mill on is being shipped out, and even when he got played it was as a wing back.

It's a weird one, Mario you could see it going wrong as Brenda didn't even want to sign him... But with benteke they wanted him and knew exactly how he played. It just makes no sense to try and play him like sturridge. the guys a beast and should be played like one, get the balls into him in the box and let him break defenders.

That would be valid if they had 40 attempted crosses. But the fact they are not trying to cross it shows they are told to play it on the floor. They were the same with Downing and Carroll he went from being one of the best crossers in the league to not trying and they played it to Carroll's feet.

Exactly. All Liverpool have done is thrown money at random transfers. There is no strategy involved, no planning. They sold sterling, decided they needed a striker and threw a dart into a phonebook then threw 30 odd million at villa.

Maybe the blame deflection game isn't working, we have no idea what Maurino says behind closed doors but publicly its always some other reason for a loss or bad performance, never the players. Though at least yesterday he hinted at blaming (some) of the players.

Deflection can only be used so much before it makes you look utterly silly, you hope a player/players manage to turn it around while you cover but in the end you have to tell it like it is.

Last year was like terribly last time utd won the league, everyone else was just so bad. And we just stayed consistent.
