Call me weird, call me strange but I really do think Man City will win the champions league this season. United wont get past the group stages but can see Chelsea and Arsenal also doing well.

Home performance is no indicator of Champions League performance when it comes to Man City, as proven in previous years thus I'm unsure if they will or won't even get out of the group personally.

United transfer stories have gone disturbingly quiet. I really thought getting through CL quali would trigger something.

Well I'll put a positive spin on it, perhaps they are trying to make sure we don't find out who it is.....or perhaps they just aren't going to get any one :p

I'd prefer quiet and getting a deal actually done. But I agree it looks unlikely as no one we want is available.

Plenty you have wanted have been available. You have just spent so long messing about others have got in there first.

Really? Muller? Ramos? Only pedro we seem to have made a move for and lost out. The rest where all just press rumors.

Still nothing official and seems a crazy amount of money offered if the rumours are true.

I still don't understand what happened to FFP. Just seems to have gone away.

Pretty sure they've ditched FFP now and just let the big teams fill their boots.

Best of luck to City with De Bruyne - never really shone in a Chelsea shirt, mainly as his attitude fucking stunk - expecting to be in the first team, with players like Hazard, Oscar and Mata ahead of him in the pecking order.

Amortisation - Plus offloading debt to stand alone but related companies.

I thought De Bruyne didn't quite fit at Chelsea or the Premier league at the time, he seemed a bit like Oscar at the time...light weight.

That could be nasty, English teams need to do better this season that is for sure.

Well I'm not sure how up to date the numbers are but transfermarkt has them approximately breaking even when Evans goes to WBA (assuming he goes for £~8m which is way too much for him but a lot more reasonable than £21m)..

Some dodgy challenges here for Newcastle. I can see this game having another sending off before half time. But the longer it stays 0-0 the more I see them getting a goal with their only attack.

Mitrovic looks like a hell of a signing - 2 yellows and a red in his first 3 games.

Pleased with that performance really. Ref was a bit of a moron, but Mitro's sending off was probably the right call. Just need some consistency from these abysmal referees now.

The Ref was great from a Newcastle point of view. The only call he got wrong was not giving Arsenal the penalty, blame your players and manager for all the yellow cards the Ref had a great game.

I've complained in previous years how Arsenal end up passing too much, we seem to do it quite a lot ourselves recently.

Stoke blowing themselves up.
