The beast scored against Lollerpool.

Fairly sure he was at Cobblers when we beat them at Anfield a couple of seasons ago in the FA cup.

Was a cracking game, Wimbledon unlucky to lose it, they deserved a lot more from their performance and the effort they put in.

Liverpool looked ropey at the back all game.

Liverpool have looked ropey at the back since Rodgers took over.
Fixed.

Glad Akinfenwa got his goal tho. Said he was dreaming about scoring against the club he supports. Win :)

Its quite a list.

Lack of knowledge about football teams, players or previous games
Dull
Miss-calling just about every challenge
Thinks he was a top footballer
Talking bollocks at inappropriate times.
Saying "a wee bit" 1million times too many.

They just need to fire the production team, the rest of the presenters, the art guy and they might be watchable.

And the worst use of metaphors ever. And embarrassing levels of bias when English teams play in Europe.

Yeah, maybe that was it... :(

Not seen very many posts in relation to this whole Ched Evans palava. Trying to avoid it but it's been reported on every day, as well as my Facebook being filled with it.

It just seems entirely blown out of proportion and i'm not entirely sure what the protesters want Evans to do? They don't want him playing football clearly, no matter what league he aims for employment, so they want him to be a dole-dosser for two years until his original served-time is up? I even read about him wanting to go abroad so he can play, but apparently was told he couldn't due to his conviction.

To me, i'm going to expect to read one of the front pages of the news and find that he's commited suicide, wouldn't suprise me one bit with the witch hunt on his back.

Aye mob rule. He served his time he needs employment. He should be able to play. But even with the fa backing him and the Oldham chairman saying the guy needed a break. It's still mob rule convincing them to back down.

It may well turn out he is innocent and without going through the handwringing minefield that the case was. What does a women expect after getting shitfaced with a football player and then going back to his hotel room? Use of the trouser press?

Lampards loan to City is looking dodgier and dodgier by the minute.

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation....l-club-frank-lampard-third-party-ownership-fa

Yes I know it's from a fansite, but also reported on ESPN and the Grauniad. Would appear the contract with NYC never existed, instead being signed with their parent company, CFG. Which in PL terms, counts as third party ownership. So it would appear City have circumnavigated that little rule, along with FFP as well. Classy.

Depends. Now if he really did fuck her and she said no. And she sticks by it we have to say ok he did bad. But it's the grey area of how much did everyone drink etc etc. and not all blame on the man.

I think most red blooded males have been in the situation where there so Horny they would have fucked wij.

but the law considers us all as sober as judges when we took our choices. It's difficult. But I don't like mob rule and I don't like that once a person has served there jail time that they shouldn't be given a chance.

Or you just push people back to crime

on the Evans thing. I personally think he should have have either

A: apologised for what happened, state he done wrong and showed remorse (before this all blew up, not his lawyer written thing that just come out).
B: trained somewhere out of sight until the case had gone through the commission. If he truely thinks he is innocent then this should hopefully clear him though it would need to not be on a technicality. If that happened then he would have a clear route into football again due to fact his "innocence" has been proven.

Currently he only served half his sentance, and as such is out on licence. So in eyes of the law he remains guilty (leave to appeal was denied remember, so there was deemed at that time that there was no chance of a successful appeal on legal terms), and for all intents and purpose he still serving his sentence. (sex register, police appearances, travel restrictions etc).

Now football clubs can not be surprised that there is a backlash, especially financially. Companies do not want to have their family brands to be linked to a convicted rapist that shows no remorse and thus in their rights to end sponsor deals until the matter is cleared up. Hell what we have next, Durex sponsoring Oldham and using the slogan "Leaves no evidence you were there!" (ok yes im being silly here :D )

He is not being stopped from working. A teacher would not be allowed back into schools, police officer etc would have serious problems trying to get back into their previous line of work. I see this as no different. He isnt being prevented from working, he just being prevented from entering a specific field of work and this happens all the time without any complaints.

As a player he will be in a position of influence many children, etc etc etc. Could go on but to be fair I think that is enough. He made mistakes both at the time (rape or not he fucked up the situation), and has fucked up since he was released. As such he only got himself to blame and if he doesnt like the media attention then he should not have put himself in the limelight and just stayed out of sight, took a normal job, kept training and let the court commision to finish the investigation.

It was more about Taylors comparison than anything else, to me the Chad Evans things was simply a lack of apparent remorse.

Difficult to show remorse for a crime you believe you are innocent of.

Wasn't it a 3some gone wrong though? She went back to their room, fucked them both then claimed one of them raped her?

Or is that another case?

Either way, its a pretty dodgy conviction whichever way you look at it and in all honesty its hard to tell who is telling the truth in a very murky situation. He doesn't deny having sex with her, just denies that it was rape.

I'm some what reluctant to say much on the Lampard case because as a Chelsea fan it might seem bias or whiny but I doubt much will happen, you only have to look at the recent UEFA sanctions as an example.

Nothing at all will happen. It should though to set a precedent.

I imagine most top clubs will be looking at ways to avoid the rules one way or another, many do already.

£500 million for Messi...I'll take two, really can't believe how much the media keeps linking him with us and others all the time.

Funny thing is he'd probably still represent great value with his ability on the pitch and shirt sales/general marketing power off it. Not sure he'd even be a good fit for Chelsea, but who wouldn't want the second best player in the world at their club?

Won't believe he's on his way until he turns up at Tottenham for his medical :)
