I agree with what Peter Reid said after the match, regardless of what's agreed before the match, sometimes things change in the pitch. Balotelli has come on, he's bloody good from the penalty spot, let him bloody take it. As soon as he took the ball I knew he'd score.

In the usual anti Chelsea vitriol you seem to of ignored the timestamp on my post and think I can see in to future, fact is my post was more a reference to another denied penalty on Costa and other ref screw ups across the games today.

Yes they get rated in every game and assessed by their superiors. They get feedback and relegated to lower divisions etc for punishment.

It's a non paying job afaik so they aren't fined.

I think if it's a real howler they get knocked down to the Football League for a couple of weekends (Vertonghen's absolutely onside goal against Sunderland for eg) but there's so many errors every weekend. Matic should've been sent off but so should the other guy, it was an awful challenge.

Ah changed since I used to keep track. All they used to get was expenses. I said as far as I know. Wasn't claiming I was still right.

So they do get fined in a way. Giving them rest weekends or lower divisions so they don't get the per match bonus etc.
