If you read the full transcript it isn't actually that bad at all and a lot of it has been twisted.

Got a link? I'm fully prepared to believe (obviously) that journalists twist everything - I work in the industry - but it seems a bit far fetched that he'd be being charged by the FA if it wasn't true.

I cant actually find one but some examples of what he has said are,

We used to say: ‘We’re going to eat in chingalings.’" - When he was growing up, so that would have been the 1940s then, the vast majority of people would have referred to it as something similar I imagine, nothing derogatory about it.

Some of his other comments are a little off (not shit storm worthy) and he has made a mistake by hiring Mackay - However, its down to the old served his time, should be allowed to earn a wage argument. You cannot stop Mackay from working, regardless of how much of a ballbag he is.

IF he's just referring to the past then he's little more than an idiot (to say that publicly) but I entirely disagree on Mackay purely because the notion that he has 'served his time' is in fact completely incorrect given that he hasn't even had his FA hearing yet. If he had been banned and came back, I'd absolutely agree but Wigan hired him despite the 'ongoing investigation' (god only knows why it's taken so long to actually do anything but that's another matter).
