To be fair though, the same thing could be said about most of the big clubs, I think probably the only team to have bought exactly who they needed are Chelsea.

UTD spent loads but failed to even come close to sorting their main problem out, defense.
Spurs appear to have just splurted 100 mil on whoever was available
Arsenal spent a little but didn't sort their defense out.
Liverpool took a risk that has so far back fired in Balotelli, and didn't sort their defense out
City spent well but have disappointed, on paper they should be doing a hell of a lot better than they are.

Chelsea's to lose really.

Yeah, but I don't watch all of their games. As I've said, so many times now it is starting to get tedious, I support United because Schmeichel played there many moons ago. Over the years I have slowly lost interest and primarily watch the EpL as a neutral, but as for Arsenal and Liverpool, I am always pleased when they don't do well. I even enjoy seeing City play, but I always hope United do better than everyone else. Guess that is the difference between being a supporter and a fan, eh?
