Villa's title challenge is under way ;) Good professional victory over Stoke with the kind of defending Man United can only dream of. Very sweet to get three points at the Brittania.

Not strictly true Job.. it the first time they started a season at home and lost since 1972... we regularly get shit results at the start of the season but often it an away game we begin the season with! But was a simple case that we done fuck all with the possession, much like Arsenal actually for a lot of the game. They just managed to squeeze a goal when it counted.

Probably my favourite moment of the day. The look on Cazorla's face was priceless. :D

Priceless watching Daviid Moyes reaction to the commentators saying his reign at Man Utd was shambolic! As soon as the comment was made he the switched to the studio showing him throwing his hands in the air and mouthing some rather rude words :) BeinSports coverage in ME Region. His post match synopsis basically said that Fergie left the mess and it will take a while to sort out.

Hope Crystal Palace's tactics change during the season, parking a bus on the 18 yard line then hope for the occasional break/dead ball situation. Shit to watch and your not going win much with less than 30% possession.

The resources that the two teams have at their command couldn't possibly be more different. An away point at the Emirates would be a good result for any bottom half team, even more so one without a manager.

Don't start on us our money and success is self made. There is no reason any other team who can draw a crowd can't do the same as us.

Arsenal were lucky to get onto the Champions League gravy train at just the right time. With the fair play rules will a team like Palace ever be able to finish in the top four places of the Premier League?

The successful clubs have a monopoly on the money and the best players. The rest of the clubs in the league have to do whatever it takes to get a result when playing them. If that involves kicking the ball away and frustrating them then so be it.

Arsenal have a fan base willing to pay huge money and to fill our stadium. The fan base was big enough that we built a bigger stadium. Smaller clubs that can't fill smaller stadiums even with tickets half the price are not victims.

You have a loyal fanbase that *have* to pay huge money to fill your stadium.

And so will you. And that will make you a bigger and more competitive club. Our success is not just CL money it is because our fans have allowed us to expand to fill the new stadium and that is what makes us a "big" club. A lot of "small" clubs can't fill smaller stadiums at a fraction of the price so long term they could never compete without all teams being given the exact same amount of money but then you would get teams like Man U and Arsenal and soon Spurs who fill stadiums and earn fortunes they will end up with a fuck load of money they are not allowed to spend.

Just watching a replay of some of the action at Man Utd yesterday. WTF is it with all the Aeroflot adds! A Russian Government owned airline, may as well be called Puttinair with adverts running at a ground with a Dutch Manager/Player. How thoughtless was that.

Oh I see..my opinions don't count as much as the more experienced armchair managers in this thread...you have all started sounding like the generic answer from Steve Gerrard after the game.

The interview with the Crystal Palace owner was fairly enlightening. Pulis agreed and transfer budget failed to find anyone he was interested in so quit. I know it is one side of the story but if he ends up at a bigger club sooner rather than later then I think the truth is Pulis bailed.
