Given the dropping standards for what makes a penalty we should have got one today. If we don't win the league it is a conspiracy!

I really hope we unload at least Torres during the summer transfer period.

Who would buy him though? You have him until the end of his contract tbh, or you offload and pay his wage difference.

he really should be third choice though, perhaps if he played as much as ba he'd be more inclined to fuck off.

we played like we had 11 torres vs palace

It isn't even really about getting money for him, just offloading his wages or at least part of them would benefit Chelsea.

Everton get a lot of "could go anywhere" balls dropping for them. It is worrying to see :(

This also marks the first time since 2002 that Everton have won five consecutive Premier League matches. That run came in the pre-David Moyes era.
It doesn't seem to get any better for Moyes, does it? :)

I kind of want Liverpools bubble to burst. I cant imagine how arrogant Liverpool fans will get if they win the league.

I suspect if you took a poll of who fans want least to win the PL when it comes to other clubs then I suspect Liverpool would top that poll, that is purely the result of Liverpool fans.

I don't see Spurs winning today, they in essence pissed away 100m and I don't think Sherwood is good enough either.

Sherwood most definitely is not good enough. He's got all the heart and passion you could ever want from a manager but at the end of the day, if he's actually not a good manager then it's for nothing.

I saw Ruud Gullit saying the other day that Louis Van Gaal was pretty much nailed on to be our next manager. So there's that.

The thing is that we make jokes about Spurs but they are a top team and having a person who hasn't managed any team before becoming the manager is silly, it may also be damaging to his career as well.

There's so much talent in our squad, it's ridiculous. Given the proper manager, there's no reason why we can't push on. It didn't happen with AVB (although to be fair to him I don't think we'd have been any better or worse off for points had he stayed - he just fell out with pretty much everybody at the club so had to go) and Sherwood was never going to be a long-term boss. LVG would be exactly what we need.

Lol. And now Vertonghen's injured as well. Yay.

Christ your defence sounded terrible already, I think you might get murdered by the end of the game and my hope you might be able to dent Liverpools run is going out the window.

Where'd you hear Dawson? I've heard Vertonghen or Soldado (because he'd miss the return punch lolol). Either way apparently there was a bit of a ding-dong in the dressing room after the match.

Something about him keeping them in the changing rooms for 45 minutes after the match too :p

It's so late in the season it wouldn't really bother me if he went. Fuck it, put Freund in charge until the end of the season. :)

Didn't see the whole game and they didn't show sturridge diving on MOTD, but I'm happy to be top of the league and playing such damn entertaining football.

Got a funny feeling we're gonna drop points agains West Ham (Carroll will score twice, unless he's injured) but either way I think the Chelski and City games will expose our defence and although we'll score against both of them I think they'll both score against us.

West Ham aside I think it'll be 1-1 v Chelski and 1-2 v City.

City to win the league.

Jumping on the speculation bandwagon - I could see this as a reasonably realistic possibility top 4:

1. Lollerpool.
2. Shitty.
3. Chelski.
4. Everton.

Would be great to see Everton in there. They're getting some great results under Martinez. But it's just blind hope I guess...

The way Everton are going I can seriously see them displacing Arsenal, which would be beautiful.

How does Garth Crook's get paid actual money by the BBC to write his "team of the week" article? It's a load of fucking shite. He probably bangs it out in 20 minutes after watching match of the day.

I've got a feeling Everton will beat city in the penultimate game to get 4th whilst helping Liverpool win the title. I think they will beat Arsenal next week. It's an important game and an early kick off - expect Arsenal to concede five in the first half an hour.

Liverpool have been the best team to watch in the league, have some great English players and deserve to win it this year.
