I resigned myself to City winning it three months ago, and yes, I would prefer Arsenal to win it. I just heard on the BBC that Sheik Mansour has now spent a billion quid on City, kind of difficult to stop that juggernaut.

To be honest I have a bit more love for City than I did last season. They were pretty hilarious under Mancini but the way Pellegrino has come in and the way he has them playing, they're pretty irresistible. Of all of the teams that are likely to be in with a chance of winning it (Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Liverpool at a stretch), City are the best of a bad lot (read: the least worst. I don't want to give the impression that I actually like them). And let's be honest they deserve it after the way they've dominated matches so far this season.

Obviously none of the above logical and thought-out reasoning applies if you're a United fan, in much the same way that I would instantly discount Arsenal. :)

City's wage bill is apparently at 650k a day. Insane.

Also every manager will moan, look at Big Sam when he didn't get the signings he wanted, Moyes when the decisions from the officials. didnt go his way, it's just venting frustrating.

We can match City in most areas, when it comes to strikers however they absolutely destroy us.

Well least they are slowly decreasing the amount of money they lose each year although I'm still waiting for the results of the investigation in to both Man City's and PSGs sponsorship deals to appear.

In fairness, that is all of their staff, including medical teams blah blah, it's still a ridiculous amount of money.

Bradley Johnson is actually dead, so whether his got rescinded doesn't matter. Brain haemorrhage apparently from the severity of Remy's headbutt.

The pansy fucking cunt that he is. I'm dreading Saturday now.

I can't see a) how they were reds in the first place and b) how one could be rescinded and the other not. I think I was actually half-watching SSN when it happened and Le Tissier (iirc) said that whatever punishment was handed out, they both deserved the same. Which I would agree with after seeing it. And now Johnson has been let off. Unbelievable.

Still, there were a few bullshit red cards this week.

They both go head to head, it's the fact that the Norwich ponce knocks his head backwards as if he's been nutted.

Imo, they both deserved a yellow, players go head to head often and sod all happens. But if it was to be red, it should be for both.

Does make me laugh whenever Big Sam tries to claim any sort of tactical superiority over anyone. 10 men behind the ball and hoof it up to the big lump up front is hardly tactical genius.

Still, he'll fit in well in the Championship next season.

It was enough to get a desperately needed point against a top 4 team wasn't it?

You also seem to forget, it was pretty much the same tactic employed by Chelsea in the champions league final.

Except we still played for counter attack to a degree.

I dont doubt West Ham did some awesome defending, but they didnt even get out of their half for the last 25 minutes.

No need to even discuss it with people who can't see the difference to getting insanely lucky (West Ham conceded THIRTY NINE SHOTS at their goal) and actually winning games. Sure, no fan in their right mind is going to say Chelsea played good football to win that CL but you must have the comprehension levels of a damp pair of underpants to not see the difference in tactics.

And it earned them a point that may be the difference between relegation or staying up. Football isn't just about goals and glory.

They did what they felt was required to get something out of the game so well done to them, doesn't change the fact it was boring and wasn't the exact same as Chelsea did in the CL.

ofc it wasn't... but both teams sat 11 men behind the ball. The only reason Chelsea managed to develop a countering style in the CL was because Barca's discipline went out the window due to frustration. They certainly didn't start the game in a counter attacking way. Chelsea had 28% possession ffs.

But anyway, different managers etc.

Still, Maureen is just pissed his team weren't good enough on the day to breakdown a shit team. Something you need to do if you have any hope of winning the prem.

I did like the black and decker reference though
even more hillariouse that he actually had to explain it to the press before they got it.

I liked Sam's response, it was up there with his sarcastic laughter when Chico Flores fell over a while back.

So why are you whining about the way Chelsea won the CL? Can't have it both ways.

The fact that West Ham had an offside, 3 corners and an attempt clearly demonstrates that they spent some time in your half. ;)

er...I wasn't whining about anything...not sure where you got that from.

I was saying Chelsea have sat 11 behind the ball before too. It is a perfectly valid way to play football against a far superior team when not conceding a goal is more important than trying to score and leaving yourself open. West ham went into the game knowing they had very little chance of winning so played for a draw or low score loss. At the end of the season that point could be all that keeps them in the prem. Maureen should have anticipated that and picked a team/tactics accordingly.

SSN saying that Holtby is training with Fulham today and that the loan is done. He'll be awesome for them.

Now, about Berba coming the other way...
