I am aware of all these things, and you're correct about the necessity of survival in the PL for example but the fact I've explained the same point three times over and you're obviously incapable of grasping it proves that it's fruitless to continue trying. The irony of your petty insults is obviously lost on you, but I'm enjoying it at least.

Have to say @eksdee - West Ham were hoping to nick a goal. Just like Chelski hoped to nick a goal.

West Ham played for a point - which is a result for them. They also could have nicked a win, but didn't. The basic tactics were park bus - try to hit on counter. Just like you versus Barca.

Why is that a problem? It worked for both of you - you both got the result.

As I said before, I disagree that the tactics were the same.

OK. We'll disagree to disagree on that.

Are you in the same whiny camp as maureen? The "ooooh it's so unfaiiiiiiir, west ham are s0 oldz! they stopped us from winning AND I WANT TO WIN " camp?

:D

Rose's red card appeal was successful, pity there's nothing that can be done about it COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY changing the course of the match. That fucking linesman needs a slap.

I can't see how it's not the same?
You get a point for a draw in the PL and for a team facing relagation a point away against a top 4 club is invaluable.
In the CL for a draw all you get is extra time and penalties which is more time to face a better team with a lottery at the end so ofc it makes sense to try and nick a goal to end it earlier. If Chelsea could have won the CL with a draw don't pretend they wouldn't have done exactly the same as west ham ;)

There's a difference trying to nick a goal with Drogba and trying to nick a goal with Carroll though. I'm sure west ham would have loved to nick a goal but that could only of ever happened from a set piece.

Yeah but Westham didn't really need to nick a goal. I'm sure they would have loved to but it wasn't necessary they got what they came for and probably still more than they expected.

Rubbish. That's like saying "chelski are rich so their tacitcs are automatically more valid".

If they both work off the same script, it's the same script, regardless of players.

They were they same. The only difference is Chelsea had a squad capable of taking the game to Barce. West Ham can not say the same so were forced into using that tactic.

Haha, Liverpool were the only horse in the race for that Konoplyanka chap and they still couldn't get it done.

Seemingly the Draxler deal fell through over £5m as Arsenal knew Schalke need the money. But some are saying the deal has happened and will be announced tonight!!

He is a proper BellEnd.

With the games coming thick and fast we are too light upfront and at the back so the fact we signed a midfielder where we have the most cover is strange.

Just looked up Arsenal's fixture list in February and March. Ouch.

Trying to do a Chelsea perhaps? Not that you'll win anything like that mind, unless you park the bus and stuff.

LMFAO is this real?

Valencia confusion
We were all a bit surprised that Valencia signed Philippe Senderos earlier on this evening. But perhaps Valencia's tweet welcoming him to the club but showing a picture of Brede Hangeland may explain it all.

Mistaken identity...?

The problem is, what decent strikers are available at the moment? I actually think Wenger is probably right not to buy in this window, he would only end up paying way over the odds for someone not quite good enough.

Oi @Shagrat, nervous for the derby yet?
Yeah I am actually, cabaye gone, no Rem,gouffran a doubt and Sunderland playing out of their skin for poyet ( especially Johnson). I'm hoping de jong mâles himself an instant hero and bangs in a hat trick as a super sub!!!

I actually agree and I could not tell you short of buying Suarez or Aguero who could come in and make the difference in January. So I know we were not going to get a 20 goal man but I still think we are lacking in depth. They have let Park go now as well and he was our only sub striker twice this season already.

Last few derbies the overconfident ones have been in for a shock, usually us. But I remember the mackems going on and on about them smashing us before we thumped them 5-1.

Here's hoping this is the game Cissé finds his feet again (if he's playing) or De Jong makes a decent impact.

I literally just got my FF team done in time. Eight changes, wildcard used and abused.
