Not sure why people thought it was funny that I rate Busquets so highly. I suppose he is similar, albeit a superior player, to Carrick. His contribution to his team (more important than Xavi) goes relatively unnoticed, but those who understand the nuances of football realise how crucial he is to any team.

She's certainly taken the womens team forward since she took over, but I think the time has come now for her to move aside and give someone else a pop.

Completely pointless second half, but De Bruyne and Lukaku looked great again. Moses still hasn't learnt to make a decision, gets the ball, beats a man and then waits for the defender to catch up with him again before doing anything with it. Still think we need a striker. Ba + Torres won't cut it and while I'm really positive about Lukaku I'm not sure he has it in him just yet to be the main man all season. Schurrle looks like he's trying way too har. Van Ginkel looked tidy. Wallace looks really good.

Also glad we told Liverpool where to stick it regarding Bertrand.

Did you post that before or after Moses scored? Still think Moses would make a good second striker, decision making isn't great but finishing is. Some new/young players have been very impressive, others not so much, Piazon looks way off the mark. Surprised by Wallace, looks like a proper brazilian right back - direct, pacey, cunty attitude, everything. KDB obviously awesome, Traore was awesome. Van Ginkel and Schurrle i'm not sure yet but both had a great work ethic, Schurrle really tracked defended well for a winger i thought. Also McEachran only got about 20 minutes at the end but his passing was excellent, opened up the game and rekindled my hope for him. Can't comment on Kalas and Chalobah because they didn't have much to do.

Obviously it's about fitness, but the second half had more time with waiting for subs to go on or off than it did with the ball in play. :>

So we've signed Nacer Chadli from FC Twente. I don't know a lot about him but, looking at some videos and opinions from Dutch football-y types, he looks great. And not a whole lot of money, either.

Yeah but rumour has it both Real and UTD are going to go in with 80 mil+ bids. I would snatch their hands off. With who they have already bought this season plus another 80 mil to spend they could get a top drawer forward, something they are still desperate for.
