Sounds like a Daily Mirror football story to me, utter bollocks.

If it was Rooney + 20 mil for Mata then I might believe it.

firstrow was so reliable though, at least they've given time for a replacement to be setup

Yeah, just came back to post the same thing. Started the second half well as well. Some 'All Stars' these guys are, they're more negative than Stoke!

Moyes has a personal reason for fucking Wayne over, they had a legal row a few years ago when Rooney mentioned him in his book.

Rooney has given 9 years of great service to Old Trafford sure yes his form has dipped the last season but still I'm sure if he was given the green light to leave he would be welcomed with open arms by any top club in the world and I think a move abroad would be the best thing for him.

Yes he wanted to leave a few years ago but who could blame him when the glazer boys were selling the best players left and right to cover their interest payments, let him leave he has given United 9 years of great football and always put in a shift every game.

His England performances can be debated but he has carried the weight of a nation since he burst onto the scene and no one player can win a nation a competition, sell him and move on that bloke has won you titles.

Rooney (or rather, Paul Stretford) held a gun to Ferg's head a few years back, and his purpleness is not the kind of person to forget that. Once Rooney was no longer essential, something like this was likely to happen. Its very rare for a player to get one over Manchester United, they usually head to the exit on the club's terms, not their own.

so Mourinho's confirmed that Rooney is his only big transfer target this summer and they have submitted a bid but no players were involved. Trying to unsettle Utd or do you think he actually wants Rooney? Interesting to see the reaction from Man Utd/rooney now

I'm just discussing other teams and trying to avoid the developing car crash that is Newcastle Utd.

now it looks like we might lose Cisse, who could have known that religious footballers would object to having money lenders as sponsors on their shirts!!!

:(

Haha, I just saw this.
Papiss Cisse fined for refusing to wear club sponsor Wonga - initial £5,000 rising to £47,987,567,324 if he hasn't paid by Friday #NUFC

I do believe that the acrimony towards Rooney is both unfounded and unfair. I also believe that no one can truly analyse his reasons for wanting to leave. Unfortunately football fans all too often assume that they are correct; this generates a purposeless level of resentment that is not helpful to anybody. I am of the opinion that he wants to leave for footballing reasons. It is clear for everyone to see that, for whatever reason, Rooney has not developed into the player we had thought he would. I suppose it is right, to a certain degree, to feel disappointed in someone who has not utilised their talent. However it is apparent to me that, being in a country where the media and the fans have an unrealistic, antagonistic and hysterical attitude towards footballers, he would do well to move abroad. I do not think England is a healthy environment in which he, and many other English footballers, can thrive and mature.

As for Manchester United, I do not see them being very successful over the next two years. It is pertinent to mention that Carrick was arguably their best, and unequivocally their most important, midfielder last season. I knew I would be proven right with regards to him.

Lol.

He had a single good season. Even Stewart Downing's had one of them.

Carrick has had more than one decent season to be fair to him, and I don't rate him at all!

England Women suck as bad as Englands Men at football heh

They will as long as the continue to employ that stupid bitch Hope Powell. She's as good as Pearce is at coaching. How she held onto her job after the last international tournament was a joke. her tactics are a shambles (kick it long) and her substitutions are always badly thought out.

Carrick isn't cheating twat who fakes injuries to get other players punished. So I agree he aint no Busquets ;)

I dislike that side of Busquets's game, but he is a genius and one of the best midfielders I have ever seen.
