Chelsea are talking about signing Christain Atsu from Porto. I'm glad they're addressing their shortages in midfield...

I've had it before in FM, bought 1 player too many for a position! An easy thing to do when you aren't sure what you are doing!

According to De Telegraaf in Holland, Spurs have made a 8 million euro bid for Christian Eriksen.

Bale seems to be playing the bellend card by not turning up to training again. Expected more from him tbh. Stick him in the reserves and sell him at xmas.

To me I really think the FIFA needs to take or consider some sort of action/rules if players do such things.

AVB saying they're considering whether to fine him for not turning up to training 2 days in a row. He will no longer be regarded as a Spurs legend, what a cuntish way to end his time with us.

Why FIFA surely it's the clubs problem. They can fine etc so leave it there. Game is regulated enough

Wenger needs a media relations course.

on if game has further heightened the need for new signings…
We have to see how bad the injuries are. I cannot tell you more than we are on the market. Everybody knows. The whole world knows that now. I cannot be more creative than that in the press conferences because all has been said and nothing has been concluded yet so I can understand your questions but I cannot give you more answers at the moment.

This is what pisses me off more than anything. How bad today's injuries are should not have an impact. if they do it means you have not been working on the deal for a month you started looking at this player today. He is a smart man and has worked here for 16 years his language is not a excuse.

We're in the middle of the transfer window, of course he's "on the market". :D

I think it is contract law. I am sure Tevez got paid for the most part of his beach holiday and they could not strip his wages for the whole time.

I am sorry you seem like a nice enough guy but I am loving your pain after all the times you have gloated about this happening to us :D

Maybe "he" really is on the market. Man City have tapped him up they are paying him to fuck up Arsenal before signing him on the cheap on the last day of the Window :)

on if he's accepted that he will not sign Wayne Rooney…
Look we cannot speak about players who are under contract with other clubs. When players are under contract at another club, they have to respect the contract. If you want to buy the player, you have to speak to the club first. I think we have all to accept that.

I do like that answer though and can't help but see it as a dig at another manager who seems to like doing these things in the press :)

I (and pretty much everyone else, everywhere) genuinely thought Bale was a class act who was acting with nothing but professionalism all the way through this. He went to this meeting with his agent yesterday (in a pink tshirt with a fucking pink cap on backwards - in truth that's when I knew this was going south) and since then, they seem have changed their tactics and gone cunty.

With you guys it's different, you're gooners ffs. :)

edit: don't know the validity of this, but lol:

The Twelfth Man@_The12thMan 1m
Ozil, Di Maria and Benzema confirm they're staying. No offers for Michu or Williams. Cesar's a no-go. - Is Wenger doing ANYTHING?

Yeah realizing that someone you have idolized for so long does not love the club nearly a fraction as much as you do is a horrible thing. I think this took a turn as soon as AVB tried to place a deadline on the transfer. Without that I think Bale would have continued training ect. But now as he wants the move he has to take the only action available to him. It is low risk to him just look at CT score a few goals and the fans forgive you.

I find it hard to blame the Players, it will be his Agent telling him its his only option.

Except its not his only option. I get quite annoyed when I hear stuff like this. He's a grown man, he can choose not to be a dick, and his agent works for him, not the other way around (unless his name's Kia Joorabchian, who seems to have reinvented the concept of indentured servitude).

I blame RM, the agent and Bale. Mostly RM for doing all they could to unsettle him. It's still a shit way for his time with us to come to an end though. There are ways of doing things and this was the worst one he could've picked.

I still have love for Willian because I think that situation was entirely out of his control. I think that was a combination of 2 oligarch's doing a deal and his cunt cunt cunt agent Joorabchian trying to line his own pockets. It looks very much like he had no choice in the matter. It's galling seeing him come out today (after the permit hearing), saying it was his dream to play for Chelsea. It sure as shit wasn't your dream a week ago, Mr. Willian.

It's not his only option but footballer players are hardly renowned for their brains now are they? Gareth Bale will have had an agent since he was little more than a child telling him what to do and where to go.

Out of interest what are his other options. After handing in a transfer request not showing up is his only option isn't it? I do get that he should be an man and honor the contract he was given but we have seen this summer with Liverpool clubs are not always squeaky clean. This whole Suarez thing seems to me like he honestly believed he has the buy out clause but after the PFA pointed out the wording was not on his side he backed down. So he is being more of a man than Bale is. But if when Bale signed he had a agreement verbal or otherwise that if Spuds missed the Champions League he could leave then i can see why he is getting pissed off with Spuds continually upping the price on him.

I really don't care. We forgive footballers their petulance and stupidity far too readily. While he's still a Spurs player (who hasn't handed in a transfer request), then he should behave like one. To be fair to Rooney, even if he was desperate to sign for Maureen, his training and on-pitch behaviour has been impeccable.

This is the flip side of the Agent thing; if there was an agreement, of any kind, his Agent should have formalised it. If that wasn't possible, then it didn't exist. Why the fuck these players give these arseholes 15% is beyond me.

Different situation IMO. As far as we know the Rooney to Chelsea transfer was always just a dream for both parties and not ever close to actually happening. In the Bale saga it does seem that the club are fucking around trying to bleed every penny they can from it when Bale just wants to get it over with.

It is beyond a clubs ability to really make a proper punishment for the recent tendency to become a cunt to force something through.

RM made us two offers, both of which were under our valuation after previously mumbling about paying more for him. Levy had every right to try to get them to pay more, I think he was just trying to hold onto him:
a) until after the NLD.
b) to try to fuck the Arsenal transfers of Özil, Di Maria and Benzema up. Assuming they were going to happen after the transfer and assuming they wanted to go (heh).

There was always a hope (certainly in the last few days) that Levy would pull the plug on the whole thing. I personally would've loved the "other" club to be PSG then we get the double whammy of not selling him to an EPL competitor and potentially we could do something in exchange for Pastore (who I think would be an absolute beast in the Prem) but that was never really on the cards.

One person who has shone through all of this is AVB, the guy's a gent of the highest order and I hope he stays with us forever. Imagine if 'arry had still been in charge. *shudder*

Actually if its true that Rooney didn't ask for a transfer from Fergie last April/May, as Rooney claims, I'd say his situation is actually worse.
