They are all good but given how consistent Bac has been and for so long I would not pick any of them. I stand by Bac.

Arsenal should really try to hang on to him. The vast majority of problems have come down the left. Gibbs is relatively solid but Monreal is a pathetic player.

Actually a bunch of people looking for a cushy grant (ie, climate change "scientists") reckon climate change intensifies El Nino.

I know you can't say it without being the devil but I have always wondered why Hillsborough gets so much more attention than any other disaster. is it just because of the police thing?

Oh so bitter that only a few clubs have ones you can have an actual long conversation about ;)
Haha that reply doesn't even make sense! Why would I be bitter about History FC?

Great goal by Skrtel!

Yeah, it's got to be because of the whole "injustice" thing. Liverpool fans certainly don't make such a big fuss about Heysel every year (or... at all).

Well that's it then, Liverpools not got a chance for a few more seasons I'd imagine, I really do feel sorry for Gerrard..

Manchester United will sort their act out next season or the next, and Maureen will sort himself out as a competitor for the title too, and ofc, Derby are going up, so we'll compete too.

Probably as good as winning the world cup for Ashley though.

Has a lot to do with all the diving pricks in the Liverpool team.

Continuing to argue with a ref after he has given you a yellow is not really something you can blame on Liverpool players season long attempt to reenact Swan Lake.

Oh not at all, Ameobi was being daft. I just assumed your suggestion that we were imploding was down to the goals we've conceded etc :p

Given how much everyone has written us off this season 4th is a good finish. Now everything depends on next week. Get an FA Cup win and that is a good season.

Another terrible season for every Villa fan, stayed up by the skin of our teeth. Desperate for Lerner to do one and take his awful manager and chief executive with him. Get some proper football people in who know what it takes to compete, whatever our budget. Eighth biggest income in the Premier League should not see us scrapping for survival every year.

I feel sorry for Liverpool, they played the best football this season but they lack experience of championship run-ins and it showed very badly at the end of the campaign. Manchester City played good football also but with all the silly money they have they should be looking at winning the competition every year. Chelsea also have near unlimited funds, shame they have a manager who restricts them to dire defensive football - under Benitez they actually played a bit last year and they were in danger of making one of the most unlikable clubs in the league likable.

When all is said and done, though, this is the season that saw Man United drop out of the top four like a stone and for that David Moyes we will always be grateful <3

If anything, everyone was falling over themselves to proclaim you title holders at Xmas. Not a bad result considering the squad, or lack thereof and I think Wenger has secured another season in charge. For good or bad.

Just my opinion:

  1. Man City - Arguably the best attack and second best defence sealed it, still struggling in Europe but should do better next year depending on the effects of the UEFA punishment.
  2. Liverpool - Some of the best strikers and some great football but a average defence cost you badly, CL football for you next season. The theatrical performances by some of the players is slightly annoying with one of those actors possibly leaving over the summer.
  3. Chelsea - Great defence although our achilles heel remained a weak attack which showed against the so called weaker teams, also managed 5 wins and 1 draw against the other top teams and did best in Europe again.
  4. Arsenal - Yay you won 4th place again and might well get a piece of silver soon. A season summed up by occupying the top spot the most but also getting hammered by the top teams too often resulting in the usual drop.
  5. Everton - Did real well, much better than probably most expected. Will the loss of the loaned players make it harder next season and the additional European football requirements.
  6. Tottenham - Spent over £100m and technically did worse than last year, will also join Everton in the Europa league but is it really wanted over some focus on team building.
  7. Man Utd - A disappointing season with a truly shocking team that isn't likely to challenge for much next year even if Van Gaal becomes the new manager, requires a lot of rebuilding but at least no Europa league hassle but also unlikely to do a Liverpool.
  8. Southampton - A good improvement over last year and some wonderful looking English players in development, sadly those same English players though are unlikely to remain at Southampton.
  9. Stoke - The highest finish they've had and playing a different style of football under Mark Hughes.
  10. Newcastle - Well considering some of you recent performances I didn't actually think you were this high ;)

I think next year could become even more interesting than this year, I mean the challenge for 4th spot in the league will be immense.

We got top 10 based on our first half of the season performances. If we'd been playing like we were the last 19 games we'd be down.

Stoke being ahead of us too, that's fucking depressing.

Before the season we did not stand a chance we were top at Christmas because of the run of games. No one with half a brain thought we could win the title. Everyone knew we were only contenders if we came out of the City and Chelsea run of games still top which unsurprisingly we didn't. At the start of the season most of you on here said we were dropping out the top for Spuds last month we had no chance because Everton were going to knock us out. So Champions League Football and an FA Cup final will do me.
