Athletico by far the better team over the two legs. Still honestly happy with this season, will be ecstatic if a miracle happens and we win the league and very much looking forward to next season with a new striker and hopefully a more positive approach as a result.

Well most Chelsea fans probably didn't expect us to as well as we did.

Sorry Chelsea mates but nothing puts a smile on my face quicker than seeing John Terry crying.

No complaints tbh, Athletico the better team in that game, hope they win the final.

Good game of football really, fast pace all round. Just a shame we lost, should be a good final.

Yeah perhaps it does for others but to me it shows it really matters to him like Liverpool's recent results do to Gerrard.

I turned it off after he was looking pretty solemn in the centre circle, did he start crying?
There were some definite reddening eyes and the Madrid players were comforting him. It wasn't full-on crying like in the rain a few years ago.

Not really, since that isn't how we were playing at all most the first half.

How is playing 3 fullbacks and virtually no offensive players playing for anything but 0.0? Sure they passed it around a bit and had a goal against the run of play but other than that he set up to play 19th century football, seemed to change his mind at kick off and got found out. Only when they needed 2 goals to win did they turn it on a bit but they just didn't have the options to attack properly. So what does he do, take the striker off for another striker.

You can facepalm all you like, it doesn't change the fact that that is what happened.

Who else could Chelsea have played in central midfield?

Do Hazard and Willian not count as offensive players? You know, like the two offensive players they normally use?

Apart from that isn't and you are just trolling and talking crap as per normal due to your usual dose of Chelsea loathing.

I realise in a past life a Chelsea fan bummed your dog, but your myopia does get a little tedious. He took Cole off for Eto'o, Ba was swapped for Torres later on.

No complaints about the result, easily the best team we've played all season. Still happy with the season we've had, with a couple of choice signings and another year under the belts of Hazard, Oscar etc I'd say the future was pretty bright.

Ivanovic (defender)
Cole (defender)
Luiz (defender)
Cahill (defender)
Terry (defender)
Azpilicueta (defender)
Ramires (pretty much a defensive midfielder these days)

So 7 purely defensive players and expecting 2 attacking midfielders and a 3 legged donkey to attack

Yeah, he didn't set up for a 0.0 at all.

Edit, my "talking crap" has made me over 1k this season from £1 bets so I will take my talking crap over your blinkered Chelsea fan nonsense, including a 200/1 win on a Chelsea game.

So er yeah, he took a striker off for a striker then?

He should have brought Shirly and Oscar on as soon as it became apparent that he had fucked up. Shortly after half time.

Chelsea weren't too defensive. Hazard lost his man a couple of times and it cost them. That's it really. Munich were the same last night - they switched off and conceded from two set pieces. Neither manager was at fault IMO.

So who will win, if it is Atletico Madrid it'll be interesting since sadly for them a number of the players will be leaving during the summer transfer period.

So for those who watch La Liga how good is Diego Costa actually, since in both games against Chelsea he didn't exactly look that good which I guess kind of matches what I saw of Cavani's performances against us for PSG.

Purely defensive is a bit harsh. All except Cahill and Terry got forward all the time.

I'm sure Terry will be there with his Chlesea kit on in case the Athletico keeper needs a hand lifting the trophy, their team mates aint they? so it's all good :p

Aye they did, and arent suited to it. hence the "changed his mind at kick off" bit.

Cole was good at going forward in his day ofc, when he had pace. Show bob can against shit teams when leaving gaps at the back isn't a problem, ivan is ok at set pieces and clearing up with rebounds and whatnot but needs decent players in front of him.
