Was just reading about Robben staying at Bayern for another three years, nothing special there but part of the article noted he has 55 goals and 36 assists in 98 Bundesliga games for the club. Impressive!

Pretty amazing statistics seeing how weak he is, usually flailing about on the floor all the time.

I reckon Olympiakos are going to turn it on in the second half. De Gea has already made a couple of immense saves.

I do want United to win so they don't sack Moyes though. #MoyesIn etc

Yeah but it's the same as in Spain couple decent clubs and the rest are rubbish.

Do the assists include penalties won?

Felt sorry for Olympiakos, they deserved a goal. De Gea with a man of the match performance. Welbeck with some key moments, mostly for diving to win the free kick for the third goal.

Van Persie now out for a few?

To be fair the Spanish league is still dreadful but is improving a little. As for the German league....

Bayern 1st 71 points Dortmund 2nd 48 points, oh the tension.

Atletico mixing it up a little this season in La Liga but meh, my mum could have predicted the final placements on day one.

You need to have a quick look at the tables over the years to see how broken both leagues are.

I'm not saying that the way teams finish in the league isn't dreadfully predictable right now because it's clearly a factual fallacy to suggest as much, however saying those leagues have 'a couple of decent clubs and the rest are rubbish' is absolutely fucking moronic. Yes, Bayern and to an extent Dortmund are miles ahead of some teams in the Bundesliga just as it is with Madrid and Barcelona, but those teams being so good is not an indicator that the rest of the teams are bad.

Since the inception of the Premier League, five different clubs have won the title. In that time, five different clubs (Barca, RM, Derportivo, Athletico, Valencia) have won La Liga and six different clubs have won the Bundesliga (Bayern, Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen, Stuttgart, Kaiserslautern). So if you want to say those leagues are 'broken' based on the tables, then so is the Premier League.

If Liverpool do manage to win it this season that will be proven to be BS. A good a manager and the right players can do well in this league.

If they don't then long live the team with the owner most willing to lose a Billion quid to win things.

We've a cracking first team for the PL. But if we were in any of the cups or the Europa League I'd expect us to be out of the top 4.

Next year qualifying for the top 4 will be massively difficult. All the big boys will spend big.

But yep - Spain has a reasonably strong league (but team-for-team wouldn't compete with the PL), Germany's league is weak as fuck.
