And is Gary Neville really saying it does not matter if it is a dive if the defender slides in then the striker is entitled to dive?
Lots of people that wrote Liverpool off at the start of the season have gone rather quiet of late.
What a load, the defender did not move the ball and did not touch the player. He did not force him to run away from goal he did that all himself. If he had gone towards goal then the defender gets the ball and it is fine but instead he lost control of the ball and took a dive. What's he supposed to do?
He can't run anywhere - the defender has seen to that (illegally). Therefore you either go to ground (which he did) or do some stupid "must leave trailing leg so defender actually makes contact" shite.
And it's Gary Neville saying that.
I think you're just sour because you're now favourites to finish fourth...
It was a blatant dive...What's he supposed to do?

If you believe he was right to dive or worse you think it was not a dive because a defender decided to make a tackle that did not touch or stop the player at all then I am stunned that is a new level of Liverpool blinkers. No other fan on here would argue it is not a blatant dive.Defender dived in recklessly, scissored either side of player and got nowhere near the ball, player went down.
Gary Neville, massive manc who, publically, hates Liverpool, says "fair enough".
Job done.

He could put his hands up and tell the ref it isn't a pen, for a start.
Lol!
Yeah. Keep dreaming.
It happens. It's a pity it doesn't happen more often. This is good to see. The guy went down in the box, the ref gave a pen but the guy who fell over said he stumbled and the ref changed it to a free kick.

How about stay on his feet. He did not need to dive he could have tried to keep the ball under control rather than poking it out of play and diving. The non challenge is only retarded now because we accept that strikers should look for a penalty rather than trying to score. All Vidic did was open the door for him to cheat. He did not have to cheat at all. Stay on your feet try to keep the ball in play and score.I'm saying, like Gary Neville said, what else is he gonna do when Vidic dives in like that? It's a fucking retarded failed challenge.
Can we all just agree that United are shit?![]()
10 if you include their last action in the CL for a few yearsCome on, there are 9 games left to enjoy their demise!![]()
If things go south next season after he is given the chance to bring players in then yes, he will be sacked.
Christ, if Moyes being the boss hinges on their next few results, he's fucked.
Hngh. He's fucked then. Its increasingly obvious this isn't about the lack of signings, this is tactical ineptitude. These players didn't suddenly become that shit. Last year Rooney and RvP played beautiful co-ordinated football, now its like they're on two different teams. The training isn't working, but worse Moyes shows no indication he knows how to respond when plan A isn't working (and plan A is usually wide players crossing and....that's it.)
I certainly don't think SAF would have had these players at the top of the table this season (unless he's spent at least some money), but he would have had them in the hunt. I'm beginning to think Moyes is the sacrificial goat; take on a grumpy Scotsman to show faith in the Ferguson long-term way, bin him off when he can't hack it and get on the management merry-go-round with every other big European team.
