Bit miffed about that penalty you see that 10 times a game and never normally called so a Penalty and a Red Card that early feels fucking harsh.

I would say defo a pen not sure about a red but surely if it was a Goal Scoring Opportunity (TM) then it had to be a red in the ref's eyes?

Yes I agree. But you still see people wrap their arms around other players all the time. It is like doing 80 on the motorway, yes it is illegal but so many people do it that when you get punished it feels out of order.

Doing that at say, a corner is quite a bit different to doing it to someone through on goal though.

I am not saying it was not a penalty it was a stupid tackle. Just that all things considered it feels harsh so early on with the red card. When very similar does get overlooked.

Ah, we're in agreement then, it was never a red. Just Mike Dean being a cunt as per.

Arms round someone is to be expected, but if you fall and drag them down you have nothing to defend.

Its the same as you see all the time, Kos grabs him Kos feels Dzeko hit him both go down 90 times in 100 the ref tells both to get up a play on. An example would be Gelen Johnson taking Valencia down in the early game while alredy on a yellow he bundles into him and goes to grab his feet but did not even get the second yellow. So the red despite the "Last man" rule seems harsh.

He has just let two crystal clear yellows for kicking the ball away go. He only follows the rules he wants too!! ;)

Give the ball back by putting out for a throw in 10 yards from touch. Classy :( what happened to give it to the keeper.

I keep hearing about the £62 tickets but I am fairly sure Arsenal offer the same prices and we were offered. As my West Brom supporting mate went for about £29 which was cheaper than any Arsenal fan could go for. So unless the away fans are subject to the categories like the Arsenal fans it makes no sense.

lmfao @ mancini.

Arsenal = defo red card.... man city = complete wrong, it was good tackle.

pleb!

Why kompany took his standing foot of the ground in the tackle is unknown. completely crazy. 2 feet of ground = red card. Hope they appeal and get it extended.

Dean spoilt the game, so inconsistent, Dzeko gave away about 10 fouls and hoofed the ball away, no card. The mind boggles!

Just went on to Betfiar while orient were 0-1 down to Hull. I'd just won on the poker so I thought fuck it and put a fiver down at 85/1. 10 second countdown. The very second it goes through we equalize but only 30p of it was matched. FUUUUU

Keep hearing rumours about Wesley Sneijder coming to LFC.

I usually don't get too bothered about rumours and gossip. However, I think what LFC is lacking is quality. We don't need any more squad players. He's 28, in his prime, Galatasaray aren't a premium club as far as I'm concerned. I think it'd be a good addition.

I don't for a second think it'd actually happen - I don't think we've got the cash - but I do think it'd be a punt that could be transformative.

Whadda you lot think? (Not whether he'll come - I still think it's unlikely - but whether it would be the correct addition).

He's not been that good for Inter for a while now, didn't realise he was only 28.

And Liverpool are? Which one gets in the CL every year? Clue, not the one on the Mersey.

Biggest problem is no-one wants to pay his wages, City and Chelsea are awash with midfielders, and United don't want him because (apparently), in the grand tradition of Dutch football, he and RvP don't get on. Do any Dutch players get on with each other? Ever?
