Yeah I agree. I can only hope Arsenal do the right thing and use the money from the new Sky deal money to lower prices.

Just watching the Swansea highlights. And Theo to his credit stays on his feet after a push in the back. The ref waves play on and it comes to nothing. Now from how I understand it after the ref waves play on he then goes back and books the player even if it comes to nothing or does he only book them if it is bought back for the free kick / penalty?

It is up to the referee, he can book them either way if he feels fit.

You were all over them in the first half? What happened?

It's a Chelsea thing, we only play well in 45 minutes of the match.

It's frustrating as hell, the problem was we got comfortable, Southampton bring on Lambert and he's instantly a morale boost = game over if not concentrating.

The difference between the first and second half was ridiculous, why can't we keep it up for 90 minutes? It's like somebody put a completely different side out there.

Also, Torres actually looking bothered about putting in a tackle? Ok, he's still misfiring, but he actually went for the ball, and made some passing moves, unlike previous games where he was just standing about looking uninterested..

Yeah, thought some Torres got some fundamentals right yesterday.
Except kicking the ball away when he caused a freekick when chasing a goal and that cross in the end :S

Oscar did not have his best game though did he? Is he usually that far down the pitch?

Impressed by Southamptons fullbacks tho, Shaw will probably have some suitors in the summer :p

No they weren't. We dominated until Ba scored. Terrible game of football... 5 shots on goal the whole game and 4 goals. Atmosphere at Stamford Bridge i dire, you could only hear the Saints fans for most of the game. Was a little bit pleased we didn't win. I just about kept it together when we equalised but would've gone mental if we'd scored again.

That's usually the case in my experience.

Was a little bit pleased we didn't win.

That's why tbfh. Regardless of feelings over your owner's managerial choice - how can any "fan" of the club be happier NOT to win than to win??! It's staggering.

I kind hope Abramovich leaves chelski tbfh. The fans don't really deserve him - he's sugar-daddied them to relative success and they then moan when his plaything isn't being run the way THEY want it.

Ah. My bad :)

I love winning games against the odds. You'd have maybe done a little sex wee - but I doubt death was on the menu. :D

I'd hardly say you dominated, you had a few attacking moves which got you to the edge of Chelseas penalty area. But yeah, the bridge atmosphere actually is shit of late, no noise, no nothing.

I really hope Abramovich doesn't leave, we'd end up in the shitter. I do enjoy all this 'small club' nonsense that seems to appear in comments on the news websites as well.

I'm fed up with the fans, they're being fickle, 11 superstars doesn't make a team and it never will, Chelsea need to settle down and have time to become a team. That's what I don't like about Mr. Abramovich, he wants instant trophies and isn't giving anyone a chance to build, makes me wonder if he would've given Pep a chance to build. I'll support Chelsea through and through, no boycott because Rafa is in (as much as I dislike previous comments made) as much as Torres can't score or whatever. Ah well, only time will tell.

Yeah, the Chelsea fans would probably have taken you outside and run you over with their Range Rovers.

Poor old Suarez - hes going to get punished for truthfully describing modern football - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21064709

And rightly so. Why do footballers think that if they're somewhere other than the country where they play, they can say what they like? Oh yes, because they have the IQ of a pound of mince. Latin footballers in particular seem to struggle with the concept of global media.

Bobby Robson and Billy Wright not on the FA 150 year crest but Gerrard and Rooney are?

Fuck me, an utter disgrace.

Latin footballers in particular seem to struggle with lying through their smiling teeth to the global media - and like to tell it like it is.

Good on you Suarez for doing the honest thing and being a proper man. Now lets have admission from all the other fucking blatant divers and cheats in the Premier League.

Sorry, but taking "an honest stance" on doing something against the rules of the game is plain fucking stupid, which is why his manager is upset and as a Liverpool fan, you should be. Suarez is already a target, and now refs will be in full on Gareth Bale mode, and I'm sure you'll be thrilled if you lose your top scorer to a ref in FA-mandated zealot mode.

Sometimes you have to just shut the fuck up (and I'm sure Suarez didn't mention it to that journo out of any moral sense; he's clearly a cheating cunt who just likes the sound of his own voice).

It is a bit rich that hes most likely going to get punished for admitting something that anyone with eyes see's in every premiership game - the refs must know this goes on - its just difficult to judge during a game.

I think he'll be off to Barca, Madrid or Milan in the summer tbfh.

Yes, I went */sigh* when I read the story. It was an interview on an Argentinian TV station.

However, I didn't sigh at him telling the truth - I sighed at the utter gash that we're now going to hear about from our own UK-based idiots - fans and press alike...

Further to the Arsenal rumours yesterday, Wenger has confirmed interest in Zaha and Cavani. Said he really likes Cavani but would have to "dig deep." Certainly fits with the rumour of a big bid.

The whole diving thing I get a bit more after last night. Theo stays honest and does not go down. The result he misses a shot he took off balance and Swansea keep 11 men. He decides to go down with admitedly minimal contact the result in a penalty and Swansea are reduced to 10. If Arsenal had not won anyway I wonder how many people would be saying he is stupid for staying on his feet.

Hmm but until either arrives it is just lip flapping, especially when it Wenger's lips.
