They did what chelsea did. Let them fuck about poncing the ball about going nowhere. Barca have no plan b. All they do is drag people out of position, if teams refuse to get sucked in they dont know what to do.

Anyone else think this Peter Herbert guy is just an opportunistic piece of shit? Remember your Henry VI.

Well ofc he is but he's also legally wrong - people can use a racist term without intent - its hard to prove this defence in random abuse but decades of history backs up the Spurs fans of which I am one. To accuse a jewish owned/jewish run team of anti-sematism seems a little crazy and I still dont understand how a racially segregated organisation like the Society of Black Lawyers (lawyers being a nasty americanism maybe clues you up as to where its coming from) is not itself under investigation rather than being listened to.

Exactly what I said to people today, "Celtic did a Chelsea".

I have alot of respect for City fans in the sense that even in the 3rd division their numbers were high. I just don't believe in this economy or situation it is viable to expect a club to sell out consistently. United have had many years to build up the glory-hunter/tourist fanbase so that Old Trafford numbers will never be low.

As for the despise comment, what can I do? Football gets less and less interesting each season, it's a money game and they won it the only way you are able to.

United's numbers were NEVER low. You need to do some fact checking there fella, long before the era of inter-city travel we had massive crowds, City did too but they dwindled away over a period of 30 years. They are and will remain the second club in Manchester, they don't need a bigger stadium because they can't fill one and won't be able too until they have sustained success which brings more aada-like glory boys.

To be honest they never really were here

Fickle fuckers, I keep saying it but no one listens. It's the same here in Manchester, blue shirts galore when top of the league and doing well, 2 bad results and they start hiding. They don't spend, City's ticket prices are rock bottom, stadium is often not full. The merchandise numbers are a farce too. City fans talk a good game but they just don't bring it when it comes to fronting up the cash when the going gets tough. United? All time record attendances in the old second division when we were relegated. In over 30 years the only games that fail to get close to capacity are League Cup games against lower level clubs, that is the same at all the top clubs as well, fans on a budget saving for the big matches. City have had 7-8 european games in the last 3 year massively below capacity despite a ton of ticket offers and rock bottom pricing.

Hold you horses there partner, going back to 70s and such is a horrendous idea and way of comparision because:

a) Prices were significantly cheaper
b) Terraces held alot more
c) Attendances were much higher at most grounds then they are currently.

Overall attendances are down at most grounds this year, so just because City won the title in the previous year does not mean they should be selling out the ground. Clubs like United are able to sustain a higher attendance (even though 'actual' fans tail off due to pricing) because there are a significant % of the UK population of people who will pay to go Old Trafford. There are tourists from the world over who want to see United play aswell. City do not have this sort of pull yet, otherwise yes, I do believe that within a 10 year period of sustained success they'd see an attendance similiar to Old Trafford as it becomes more appealing to the tourist/gloryhunter market, you only have to use Chelsea as an example of this, where the usual 'fan' is priced out in favour of the gloryhunter/tourist.

Furthermore if you read, I stated United number will NEVER be low, indicating that they've never been low and will never be low because due to there success if a regular fan drops out a 'plastic' will happily jump into his seat, or it'll go to the nearest Asian market. I'm not doubting Uniteds' hardcore number, I just find it be a petty jab at City which is unneccessary and doesn't truly reflect any of the current economic climate or Citys' recent rise to glory.

To add further, more and more people fall out of love with football each year, this will also partially account for many things. I can only use Wolves as an example where out of 40 or so regulars I used to go with to Molineux, NONE of us still hold a season ticket or regularly attend Molineux games, pricing drove us out. Even when we got promoted to the Prem most of them never went back. My point being is that regardless of success people will fall out of love with football and not attend and if there isnt the hardcore fan base, or the relevant tourists/gloryhunters to fill the void then the clubs attendance will obviously drop.

P.S. I know your arguing Uniteds' hardcore is bigger then Citys', I am arguing that Uniteds' overall attendance will be higher and Old Trafford always filled because the gloryhunter/tourist will be more likely to go there and follow United.

Basically, winning the CL final tipped them over from a small loss to a small profit. If they'd lost they would have been about -£2m. Still big progress either way you look at it, and as it says in the article, shows the flaw in Arsenal's logic. Of course the Chelsea approach is riskier, but its supposed to be a sport after all...

In his first 20 games as Liverpool manager, Rogers has a worse record than Hodgson.

Hodgson was hounded out of the club for supposedly being absolutely terrible. Evidently Liverpool fans just wanted him out from the start, don't hear any of them whining and calling for Rogers to go.

Pathetic bunch.

Points win prizes as they say.

Though I think Rogers is on the right track. He needs a bit of a cash injection though, that probably wont happen though!

Rodgers has to put up with those fucking shit players that King Kenny bought and live with the consequences of now having no money and all his worthless players. If he gets a chance to buy some of his own players and a decent amount of money he looks like he could do well.

Liverpool will have to suffer through Daglish's screw up for a while longer though.

Oh and lol...

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s boss has said he does not mind that he missed out on working with Fernando Torres as he has Luis Suarez to call upon instead. Torres has not scored against Liverpool since leaving the club for £50million in January 2011 and has struggled at Chelsea.

Suarez, by contrast, goes into tomorrow’s contest as arguably the most dangerous forward in England.

‘Torres decided to move on and Liverpool got in a world-class striker who has been absolutely breathtaking, particularly this season,’ Rodgers said. ‘Luis is world class and we are delighted with him. Liverpool did terrifically out of the deal and we have got a top player here.’

To be fair, I would rather have Suarez than Torres atm.
