Your groups very tight still, although you'd expect 3 points from Montpellier and Shalke to take 3 against Oly

City are no further forward, they still have to beat Real and Dortmund and hope the other results go in their favour.

Solbakken is going for it to be the worst manager I've ever seen in charge of Wolves.

Tonight was shocking.. does he never learn that 4-4-2 is a waste of time!?

Could be worse. Cardiff were 2-0 up at 20 minutes and we lost 5-4. :D

Fucking City hahah :p

not even a sell out match. So much for sustainability.

Been saying this for years, they don't spend, they don't turn up even when the ticket prices are slashed. City fans are fickle fuckers, a stadium that size with the champions playing should be 100% full every game, regardless of opposition. Still, the media keep selling the lie that City are 'the Manchester club'. It's a falsehood.

No it shouldn't. Ever factor in prices, the fact its a midweek game, that its on tv? United/Arsenal and co get high turnouts simply because the high amount of tourists because they're the bigger name.

They are in Manchester tho...

Old Trafford is 1 mile from 'Manchester' and well within Greater Manchester. It's matter of boundaries and town centres anyway but United are historically from East Manchester, 500 yards from that half empty stadium the dirty blues play in. City are a South Manchester club, a long way from home. ;)

Bullshit. It's a champions league game involving the champions, ticket prices were slashed to levels lower than a normal premier league game. The City fans still didn't turn out. The truth is as follows. City have a hardcore fanbase of about 35,000, statisically that can be proven as well. The rest of the crowd is made of of Aada's, wishywashy 'new' football fans who change alliegence at the drop of a hat. Of everyone on here you should despise them the most, they represent the exact opposite of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

I have alot of respect for City fans in the sense that even in the 3rd division their numbers were high. I just don't believe in this economy or situation it is viable to expect a club to sell out consistently. United have had many years to build up the glory-hunter/tourist fanbase so that Old Trafford numbers will never be low.

As for the despise comment, what can I do? Football gets less and less interesting each season, it's a money game and they won it the only way you are able to.

Actually there were 2 or 3 who were extremely pleased with themselves a few months back. One who switched from being a UTD fan to a City fan the moment they got their sugar daddy. You only hear from them when they do well though.

At least the Liverpool fans stick around for their ribbing :) except Keitenz ofc!

United have always had sell-outs. Even in the 70s and 80s when they were winning very little, they were a much better attended club than City (look at the 74-75 2nd division season for example, when they still had an average home attendance of 48K), and despite the mythology of the "Cockney Red", the reality is that United is still the better supported club in Manchester.

As for respect for City fans; I always found them nasty, bitter and aggressive arseholes during the Maine Road days. I've not been to the Etihad, but I would imagine the arsehole bit hasn't changed.

I have had some quality moments at Maine Road. One game we thumped them but they supported thier team to the end and then clapped the Arsenal players off the pitch and even joined in with a "we love you arsenal" chant. But since The City of Manchester Stadium move the Arsehole quota has gone through the roof with some of the witless fuck bags offering to stap our coach driver and set him on fire if he did not move the coach last time.

Peter Herbert is fucking demented. "PAY ATTENTION TO ME" is all that can be taken from anything he says.
