One have the potential to break a leg the other has the potential to bruise some ribs if Larson is forcing his leg straight during contact, if Larson is letting his leg bend the worst you will get is a scrap of some studs which while sore is not as serious or potentially dangerous.

It's dangerous play anyway you look at it, he could easily have been brave and thrown his body or head into it but he didn't, high boot and bad timing can be a disaster. Okay there was no intent to injure but often that is the case when someone really gets fucked up.
