Don't listen to any commentators blaming Mertesacker/Vermaelen for the first goal, it's clear the two fullbacks didn't push up to their line to play Huntelaar offside.

This was our own fault, The formation with Ramsey on the Right and Gervinho through the middle does not work. Ramsey was not quick or tricky enough before his injury to be a winger and he is still not back to pre injury standards. Mannone for 3rd choice is OK its just a shame we need him right now. Santos was a panic buy and it shows, Gibbs is great but he misses too much football Baines would of been on my list this summer. I like Gervinhoon the wing he makes chances. He should of been down the wing with Podolski or Giroud down the middle. We got what we deserved for the way we set out today.

Only in income terms can it be even remotely classed as a success. They have had 2 very attainable domestic cup trophies to win over the last 7 years and managed neither, that is his biggest failure, it was understandable that they didn't win the biggest prizes but there is no excuse for not winning the lesser ones.

That really does not have the same ring to it if you ask me. And while I would love him to come out and say we will win the treble this year the press would then call him mad? What should he say? We would like to win everything, if the big teams get knocked out of the COC we should really be winning that but the League and Champions League I just don't see it.

Congratulations on taking a one line comment out of context. He was discussing it in the terms of how it brings players to the club. If you bothered to read what was actually going on, rather than taking a cheap attempt at a dig you'd realise he explained this by commenting that "the first thing players ask for is whether you are in the CL" - they don't care about whether or not you've won the FA Cup or League Cup.

He's not talking in terms of physical objects.

Oh and it's clearly not Wenger who has ambition problems. It's the board. If anyone here had actually paid attention to what was going on the AGM, they'd realise this.

It gets the extra money required to make a profit, the question really comes down to whether the fans can really accept this over the longer term because if they don't then the revenue will fall away and the profit will vanish.
