The cynic in me thinks that they choose to buy Newcastle is because they know times are hard up there. I would not be surprised to see a Wonga style offering for away fixtures and maybe even season tickets.

Why is it such an issue when they already have deals with 2 other football clubs? Isnt it a bit late to start questioning their involvement when they are on there 3rd deal?

They shouldn't be allowed to operate never mind sponsor clubs, the FSA need to tighten the rules on lending rates. 1000% apr is fucking obscene and some of these payday loan companies are charging just that.

It actually comes from the bible - until a few hundred years ago no christian could loan at a profit - thats why there was such demand for Jewish moneylenders.
