Your lot aren't looking very good on paper! Krul, Coloccini, Simpson, Ryan Taylor and Tiote all missing.

I could do with Pienaar having a blinder for FF tbpfh.

Wouldn't worry to much Raven, it's not been a good week for the majority of teams. Those with more unusual line up's have done well though.

52 points this week, can't complain! But damn we were lucky, seems putting Marveaux on really didn't work out.

1999 season when we won the Champions League as part of the treble I had Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they were the four best strikers in Europe. (Fergi talking about CL)

Rose tinted much????

Sheringham was 3rd choice for England alone while Cole couldn't even make the squad, Always liked solskjaer but he was underused and definately not amont the european elite which at the time had fat ronaldo, raul, batistuta, del piero, toti, henry, owen, fowler, shearer, zola, berkamp and so on.

ridiculous statement, he's clerly going senile

Not really, Yorke and Cole were a hell of a strike partnership, and Yorke was joint top scorer in the Prem and Cole only one goal behind him. No other team had a partnership that good, even if they had individuals at the same level. Plus the back up of Sheringham and Ole and you have to say its a strike team up there with the best that season. In fact I'd say the only real competition in Europe that year was probably Raul and Morientes at Real Madrid.

99-2002 owen was easily one of the best strikers in europe...... and both were above cole in the England pecking order, also SAF said they are the four best strikers in europe, not that he has the best strike force, which is entirely different. He's saying individual they are ranked 1 2 3 and 4 in europe, when I wouldn't put any of them in the top 10

Well, he was kind of right, they won everything that year. Goals win games, talent doesn't.

There are reports that Cesc will be looking for a loan move in January as he is frustrated with his current form and thinks more regular football could help.

I thought he was playing regularly in Barcelona seems like BS to me, and it was from a dodgy football rumour website so more than likely is :)

Gohan, you are taking it out of context, he had the best 4 strikers in Europe, as in no other club had 4 strikers of that calibre and he is completely right. Our goal scoring record that season proved it as well.

Cesc will be gone within 18 months if he doesn't become a first 11 pick, for all the love he has for the club they are now holding him back as a player.

I don't think he is. Fergie said "four best strikers in europe", not "best strikeforce in europe".

It's pretty nailed-on what he was saying there. And it was shite, as usual.

We won the treble and with a massive goal total, your point is totally worthless and 13 years out of date. 13, unlucky for you.

So, you had the best strikeforce in europe that year, not the best strikers, then?

And Fergie made those comments recently, so I'm hardly out of date...

...you sound like you've caught your manager's disease cho ;)

He made them about a month ago and you can read 'the best 4 strikers in Europe' either way but the results don't change. No one scored what we scored that year or has achieved the same feats in the 13 years since nor the century before.

The only disease is deluded Liverpool bitterness, you are clutching at straws mate. Enjoy your own successes, you have plenty of them. If you become obsessed with United you end up a bitter old broken down wreck like Rafa! :D ;) :p

I think treble winning Barcelona may beg to differ, especially after crushing you in the final and scoring more goals.

Mourinho's Porto and Inter weren't bad either.
