I'd say our midfield two is as bad as our defence and equally culpable, it was obvious last season it needed strengthening but we bought a hoard of attacking midfielders instead.

Look at how far they run with the ball from box to box without a challenge, defence is completely exposed.

The rumours are that Liverpool can't afford to bring anyone in, even with Carroll's 80k/week wages covered, some cash for the loan and money from Adam.

We're trying for Dempsey but won't stump up more than 4.5m. Sturridge is a no-no too apparently. That leaves us with Adam Morgan and Luis Suarez as strikers.
