£22m too good to turn down when he will not sign the deal with us. Also unless Man U agree the £200k plus a week the deal is not done yet. I am just glad it's getting done early.

The Song for £18m offer has me more worried seemingly Arsenal are listening to offers on everyone with 2 years left who will not sign an extension so Song is up for grabs at the right price :(

We'll take him too. The only reason we didn't get Nasri too was because of the stupid money shitty paid.

Commentators talking about Hodgson's frustration about squad members not being regulars for their clubs. Why doesn't he do like other national coaches and send out a message saying "move to a club where you'll play or you're dropped"?

RVP has failed his medical at Man United, early reports suggest his back has been irreparably damaged after carrying Arsenal last season

catch 22 situation i guess, other leagues dont have man city who have a "buy to bench" policy, most of the players on man city's bench are still better than the alternative whether they play regular or not i guess :/

What happens Friday?

That was Wengers deadline for killing the deal if he was not sold by then he was staying.

To stop us getting raped on deadline day I suppose.

Yeah, but they also decided it best to get rid as the fans treated him like shit in a friendly and they didnt want a player on the team that fans would treat poorly... i mean if you not playing for the club then the only reason to play well when you seeing out the contract is 1) more money at next club, 2) the fans who you like. . . the fans clearly took 2) out the equation as you wont play well for a bunch of fickle fuckers... and his name would demand a good wage anyways so 1) wasnt an issue to much. Best off selling when it comes to that

After what he said he was far from treated like shit. I am an Arsenal fan not a RVP fan. He takes to his own website with a shite statement designed to engineer a move away. So I am sorry but after being a dick what do you think should happen the travelling fans suck him off because he decides to grace us with his presence. There is a way to engineer a move away from the club without fucking everyone off just like Clichy did. If RVP did stay he would of got a hard time for a little while but his performance would of won the fans back around.

Will be interesting to see which RVP Utd are buying, the Arsenal RVP or the National team RVP.

I haven't seen his comments but to be fair to him, he has been stuck at a club with no ambition for years. Every footballer wants to win trophies, even more so a player of RvP's quality. He has stuck with Arsenal and seen out most of his contract with very little complaint over the years. While he has been there he has seen them sell most of the players they would need to win anything and not bought anyone of any impact to replace them. All the time they just go on and on about breaking even before trophies and wanting to build for the future. They have been building for the future for 10 years...there has to come a time when they are ready to spend the little bit more required to actually do/win something.

Loyalty has fuck all to do with why he has stayed. £80k a week for playing half a season has everything to do with why he has stayed. Arsenal football club has paid him millions to sit at home after getting hurt playing for Holland. We have stuck by him though 7 years of not playing a full season. And as soon as he makes it though a full season showing the world what Arsenal already knew he is willing to fuck us off for a pay day. Wanting to win a trophy have fuck all to do with why he is moving, wanting £220k a week has everything to do with why he is moving.

What's wrong with any of that?

You get injured at work - you get paid. Period. Someone offers you 3.5 times your salary, you jump at the opportunity. Loyalty, true loyaly, comes at a price to yourself. A fucking expensive one by the sound of it.

Playing football is his job. He's now playing for another company. Fans are deluded if they think it works any other way.

Injured half the time but usually top scorer or there abouts, doesn't that say it all about Arsenal and their hunger for victory?

The only thing I think is wrong with that is using the excuse he is moving to win stuff. And acting like he is a saint for sticking with us for as long as he did. When the truth he has has jumped ship at the first opportunity. Which is OK he is not an Arsenal fan and he owes us no loyalty but lets call it like it is please.

I am sure everyone at Arsenal wants to win things but unlike other clubs we are not willing to sell our soul or end up in unnameable debts just to win some silverware.

GTFO. He's bin with Arsenal for 7/8 years and hasnt won anything. I've said this in the 2011/2012 thread before the European championship, but you didnt believe me then. If RVP wants to win anything in his career then one thing is certain. He has to leave Arsenal. If wanted more cash, he could have left 4 years ago.
